I don't think Hopkins was hammy at all in he role - I think it was his best work. Haven't seen it. What's the story?
It's original Red Dragon actually. It's closer to the book. I also love the Brian Cox's interpretation of Hannibal Lecter (or Lecktor in this movie) On topic: Favorite villain. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
You’re just thinking about that Spice Girl (Scary Spice) that Eddie Murphy Stooked. I’m Scary in the conventional sense in that people are scared to engage me in contact sports. I’m not huge but tall and muscular.
Spice girl? I'm offended! lol No, I just thought I saw a post of you some time ago in which you said that you were female. My post was a reply to this one by Oneraven: "Hannibal Lechter can still kick his ass. "
Damn straight, he was believable, whereas Tony Hopkins hammed it up too much, and Lector became a caricature. But then, I dont rate Tony Hopkins, seems his idea of acting is turning up and bumbling through the script.
Michael Meyers. All he has to do is stand there and cock his head to the side... AND he never dies. did he die? i didn't see the last sequel. Actually I didn't see any of the sequels. I didn't want to ruin it.
Ba'al was, by far, the coolest Goa'uld. He was the only one that wasn't too arrogant to actually learn from humans. He even went so far as to alter the timeline so that earth lost its stargate and then did everything the humans had done to destroy the Goa'uld except he used it to take over. Then, having taken over the known universe, he used a cell phone he'd saved from the alternate reality to call the president.and dictate terms. Excellent plan, and it would have worked too, if it weren't for the typical Goa'uld infighting.
Couldn't agree more, Ba'al was easily the most entertaining Gould character, probably with Nerus in second place. I always thought it was really weird though that Ba'al, a Canaanite god, inexplicably had a South African accent.
I could never get past the fact that Farscapes writers seemed to have no issue with the fact that the plot failed to make any sense.....ever.
Horse pucky. It was a giant love story. I loved every, quirty, twisted bit of it. I still watch the show regularly to remind me of. . . more interesting times in my life. ~String
Oh I'm not denying that it was a good show, because it really was, it just seemed a little to schizophrenic to me.
