White supremacy is really about white degeneracy

Respectfully, that wasn't my question. There's usually underlying factors. I'm all for self responsibility, but that's not reality.

    Oh , I see,
you want a complete run down on how societal dysfunction leading to severe self esteem issues, poor education, and massive personal, political and corporate corruption etc can be responsible for gang bangers seeking to blame every one except them selves?
    Is that it?
In essence it comes down to the blame game...and the indoctrinated lacking of self responsibility installed from child hood.
creating a fundamental issue of not respecting others as you would wish to be respected.

That's why the number is only forty million, of the Trump voters.
Or have you mistaken Trump for a "conservative"?
Then why did you include Trump's travel ban? Those people haven't killed anyone in the US.
And why are you talking about "impact", if you only care about terrorism killings?
We have a great system of universities, from our heritage as a country of liberal values and public schooling.
For the government financed, government run, lefty liberal land grant public universities and research programs that made the US the world center of innovation and scientific progress? Maybe you could lead by example, in showing gratitude - we'll try to keep up.
    - - - -
    You're missing a few hundred.
And terrorism is not a body count.
You really don't know much about any of this science stuff, do you. Why are you here?
With information from wingnut feeds and no analytical ability.
Not the sharpest knife in the drawer, explained.

I wasn't asking for "complete rundown"

I'm pretty sure that I said "I'm all for self responsibility, but that's not reality".

    How was my retort unclear?

Hey... this is an internet forum... nothing is ever clear...
Perhaps you would care to post what you believe "is the reality"?

I can read data. I can discern apoplectic hysteria rooted in emotion.

You've not presented any data that confirms there are 40 million white supremacists in America. You're rooted in emotion, Dunning Krugerite.

There was no room for misunderstanding what I wrote.

Um, reality is the violence that occurs all to frequently. If everyone took self responsibility seriously, we wouldn't have this problem, would we?

so you are saying that, yet you can be quoted as saying this:
so say again what you believe is reality?
because I am confused by whether you think it is about responsibility or not...

Fair point. I'm a proponent of self responsibility, however many aren't.

Those people look for excuses and find them. It's not right, but its reality.

Do you have an opinion on how self responsibility can be reinforced until it takes hold, with those who eschew it?

I know there are mentors, but apparently not enough or their message isn't resonating for whatever reason.

It's a massive topic and a huge issue.
Not really one for this thread, however I previously alluded to self esteem issues as being a major driver... one that could be remedied over generations of significant changes to our educational priorities regarding infancy to adult hood.
But again this topic is way too large for this forum to deal with adequately given the natural resistance to change ( societal inertia) provoking endless trolling by those who naturally feel threatened. ( due to low self esteem)
So for now I will decline your request.

btw thanks for addressing the discrepancy in my understanding of your position. It demonstrates an honorable intention and responsible attitude for a relatively new member of the fora.
    Welcome to Sciforums!

As an aside, it is worth considering that most posters, from member to admin are seriously distressed by global events and political events in the USA for various reasons. Even I, in Australia, have to deal with people (including myself) who are seriously distressed by the POTUS/Governments behavior and we have nothing to do with USA politics normally. We can not avoid the decline in USA leadership any more than any one else can due to the globalized nature of the world today. And we do not have a vote in the matter either.
The times are extraordinary and tolerance and emotional restraint are called for if civilized and useful discussion is to take place.

That's cool. Here's a point that I wanted to make, when I found the opening. First and foremost, I can't stand the actions and beliefs of those who engage in degeneracy, regardless of race.

Secondly my bone of contention is the "white" bashing, albeit none by you. I think it would be fair to say, that many of the excuses used by those in urban neighborhoods to justify their degeneracy, are used by "white supremacists" , Neo Nazis and the Klan. I'm not endorsing this by any means. All of their actions are abhorrent, but it's disingenuous for some (not you personally) to only point out only one group, simply because of a hatred for this POTUS.

Lastly, I found this blog by accident. I thought I'd find a higher quality of poster , who held opposing views. I've only interacted with a few, however I don't see it, but I'll continue to give it a chance. You are the exception to my experience. You're present compelling viewpoints , aren't driven by emotions and treat others respectfully. I truly appreciate the back and forth.

I agree. Just because Trump was elected, doesn't mean that white conservatives flipped the switch to support the views of the KKK/White Supremacists/Neo Nazis.

I'm anti fascist, but in no way, shape or manner would I want to be affiliated with Antifa. Antifa is mostly made up of anarchists, socialists and communists. No thanks.

I know a lot of people, and I don't know anyone who supports the KKK/WS/NN, nor do I know anyone who knows anyone from those abhorrent groups.

You have presented evidence that you do not understand data, and you see apoplectic hysteria where there isn't any (and only on the supposed left, btw. Your vocabulary follows the stereotypical alt right bs pattern).
That kind of wingnut feed posting characterizes white supremacists here.
And when you screw up the formatting, you make too much work for people trying to straighten out your bs. There's an edit button, and those who wish to put on airs as high quality posters use it.
Trump got 60 million votes - I figured you knew that. Forty million of them white supremacists is a lowball estimate - there weren't that many reasons to vote for Trump, and if the voter wasn't white supremacist those few lame-ass other reasons would have had to overcome the objection. Long odds, there.
Plus, they explained themselves at length.
The Trump voters didn't flip any switches. They have been voting like that, for the reasons they have, for decades.
Everyone who talks in white supremacist code as if they were making sense - as you did in that sentence - has presented themselves as a white supremacist. If you object to the label, stop matching the criteria.
Look at it this way: what would it take to get you to sincerely apologize for your posting here, and go away until you had a base of information and undertstanding from which to post responsibly?

I think you'all are at cross purposes with regard to the white supremacist referred to in the thread starter and need to clarify what you'all mean by white supremacist.
I know a number of white voters who voted Trump, not because they are white supremacist inclined but mainly due to xenophobia, and fear of radicalised religious folk blowing and shooting stuff up. A problem the global community is contuing to endure. An issue the Dems failed to address adequately and from what I gather, continue to fail to acknowledge in a way that eases the fearful voters concerns.
Wrapping it all up as Republican spin is not going to cut it come 2020. IMO.

Underestimaing the fear of those prepared to vote in a voluntary voting system is a political disaster waiting to happen.

In a voluntary voter system people who fear will always be more inclined to get off their arses and vote than people who aren't that concerned. Thus Trump gets elected whether he is a white supremacist or not. IMO

Why would I apologize to you or anyone of you LW nutters?

Base understanding = most white conservatives are white supremacists.

If I'm board, I'm good to go, right?

    Lol.

I'm not sure that they can give you the proper meaning of "white supremacist" and apply it properly. The one poster is claiming 40 million voted for Trump. He has no empirical data to back that up.

Most of them don't know the meaning of the following:

    Misogynist
    Bigot
    Homophobe
    Xenophobe
    Sexist
    Racist

Yet they use these words reflexively, as they were told to.

I disagree with your assement of xenophobia and the average Trump voter. Many Trump voters have co-mingled with others from a foreign nation, without any issues whatsoever. I'm not denying that there aren't some , especially those who live in rural areas, but that's primarily due to non exposure.

Thanks for being the voice of reason on the left.

For your infantile and obnoxious wasting of everyone's time on a science forum.
Most Trump voters are white supremacists, of course. That's just by definition, and Trump's campaign. You can throw in the polling (85% think Obama falsified his intellectual accomplishments and/or religious affiliation, most think he can't speak without a teleprompter, etc etc etc), the declared opinions of the media figures they approve and quote and say they attend to (and have for decades now), their affiliation with the Republican Party after Reagan, and so forth, if you need to be buried in evidence - but why would you need all that?

I have no clear idea what you mean by "conservative". You seem to use it interchangeably with Republican, which would be alt right stupid, but not consistently, so anyone interested will just have to give you enough time to display a pattern if there is one.

Meanwhile: Your attempts to limit white supremacist ideology and political leaning to a few registered members of some whackjob organizations becomes even more obviously bs when we see that you do not limit leftist to the registered members of Communist and Socialist fringe political organizations.

You are capable of making an informed assessment of that kind, in other words, but have reason to behave otherwise. You aren't just ignorant and misled - you're bullshitting. That is clear to almost everyone reading your posts here.

And figure out the standard formatting the adults here use if you want to be among them - you may as well not post as put up something like 117.
