What's the deal here ?

I get the distinct impression that a good portion of the mods are actually enjoying Gendanken's flame fests, and are not planning to say or do anything about it.

Why ?

About that link you posted.. I am not complaining about a mod.
I am asking why a number of mods are being hypocrites and why they promote flaming.

The moderators don't enjoy it one bit Enmos, after all people having hissy fits here make more the chore. In fact it would be easier if everyone just shut up, however discussions would be a little too tame then.

For the last year Posters have believed that Moderators are a Uniform group transpiring Gestapo like rule, however the reality is far from it. Moderators disagree from time to time, like we are suppose to and this has been proven in regards to dealing with people being banned etc.

If you haven't checked the ban list recently you should notice the number that are currently on temporary bans is limited. This is because of a drastic change in regards to policy. Originally moderators could ban people for extended time periods just because they felt like it, now they are going through the channels of hierarchy to make those bans (Namely they have to seek approval).

This was done so as to lessen complaints over hasty bans, of course I doubt anyone's noticed any difference with the amount of complaining that happens currently on this forum.
