Just wondering. I know some people have been removed from moderator positions in the past. What did they do, and what would current mods have to do to get removed?
Moderators get removed when they don't tow the party line. Otherwise they can do whatever the hell they want.
Moderators can be removed: 1) Upon request (if they have not much time because of real life commitments, if they have personal disagreements with admins or how they run forum,...) 2) If they're inactive for a long period of time without explanation 3) If they commit serious offenses against forum and forum community (this includes ignoring admins' warnings regarding those offenses as well)
Thanks Plazma. I also saw stryders sticky http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=79023. That helped as well.
On more prudent reconsideration, I would like to retract in whole my earlier comments. Eating a baby would not get you demoted from being a mod. Thankyou.

But did he eat any babies? Skaught, your retraction is noted. Go in the peace of Myuu and do not sin again without paying the tariff.
Sure. Requirements: Pointy ears, third eye at least 80% developed, being teleported at least once, ability to move heavy objects using thought only (not plank or stick that has "thought" written on it)...
i have a lot of faith in you, plazma not that i know for sure it is justified but because if a compelling argument is presented, you would act accordingly (after careful consideration and accounting for the fact that this is a science forum) logic and reason it is all that matters that is the province of sci all those that contravene all those that appeal to nepotism (sci's version) fuck off yet.....responsibilities valid arguments can be made for all manner of whatnot axiomatic principles have to be adopted a baseline of conduct sci's typical retort was ...privately owned (no irish, women or blacks) beg to differ please this is a public space we can do better than anything out in real life
