As a non american, I've mostly stayed out of the debates. But now, with his victory, I am wondering what he (or his backers or whomever is in charge) will do? [or you could think of it like WWBD]

Certainly, he will proceed to pack the Supreme court with as many young republican supporting judges as possible.
Abortion is likely to be banned.
I foresee potential for more relaxed gun laws.
Will open violence be used against Iran? I am not sure.
I also foresee more entertaining misquotes and mistakes in speaking.
Patriot act 2? Possibly not, given the problems the last one caused.
    Bigger US government? Almost certainly,
More anti anti pollution laws? Probably, as well as drilling in Alaska looks more likely.

    Anyone got any more ideas?

Now that he is elected we can expect the full court press in Iraq. Body counts will rapidly increase and soon. I expect the next country to be Syria on some pretext by spring when the draft will commence. That is in the short term.

I foresee every one of your issues coming to fruition save patriot act II. It will be called something like the civil liberties protection bill. Iran will certainly be on before he leaves office. The death tax will be permanently removed certainly. With the new upcoming draft the police state will ensue. It will be a good time to be a whitey in the only party represented in the government.

All appointments will be right wing extremeists. Expanded police powers. Generally the rise of the fascist state. Gays and drug dealers will be targeted early on. 'Dissenters' will follow. The new intelligence agency will be all the way in citizens private buisiness. Oh, the media will continue it's culpable doctoring of facts. And more monopolistic mergers will happen.

Look for Jeb Bush to rise to national attention in two years. His running mate will be Arnold S. if the bill that would allow him to the presidency passes. Bremer is a possibility as well. The Tips program will resurface, as well as the department of Truth in Communication.

    And other hopeful stuff.

    I heard it was Cuba.

I think that was a scare tactic by the people that support Kerry. Bush says he has no intention of reinstating the draft.

    That's what I fear . . . Oh, how I fear it . . .

    Are ya shittin' me?!

We have already commited an act of war against Syria. Near the beginning of the current Iraq debacle. I suggest Syria, because its 'on the list' and in the theater and a WHOLE lot more realistic than Iran. Most importantly, Would give us mediteranian access.

    Regarding Arnie,
I saw it on meet the press earlier this year.

About the draft, The president did not say read my lips NO DRAFT. IIRC he said we would continue to have an all volunteer military. The current draft legislation shoots for 87% of all eligible citizens. Men and women. To be used in support, combat, logistics, and policing, and domestic deployment. There is a whole lot of room to 'volunteer' to go combat. The earliest implementation is this spring, I believe.

Jump on in this one hypewaders, you know more about this than me. Council poorplayer on the newfound joys of killing folks for democracy, if you would while you're here.

Demunlady, would you like to give a better argment than "america is a free country"?
After all, if it was that free, homosexuals would have marriage rights the same as anyone else.

(sorry to keep harping on about it, its just such an appopriate point.)

The Iraq war is Bush's war....The american people just didn't get it did they? Does Bush care about how many american solders die each day in Iraq? Does he care how many innocent Iraqi civilians get killed everyday in Iraq? Of course not! Figure it american people!

Knock Bush all you want but the fact of the matter is he did get re-elected, as far as the war is concerned you can not knock him there he had full support of congress and huge support from the the american people to goto war. Just because your not in and out of a country in the matter of a few months does not mean anything, war is war if you support it in the beginning stick with it even through the bad, thats what I don't like about what I see about this war people gave support and voice that we should do and now all the sudden since troops are dieing and such they think we should pull out BULLSHIT finish the job and move on I supported it then and still do to this day that we was right to go over there. I do think misstakes have been made in the war but thats war misstakes will be made troops will die.

I never said anything about the way the Iraq people felt I was talking about americans who supported us going over there and then changing there minds saying Bush was wrong, I feel if you support something in the beginning you should support it til its concluded.

also it was suspected that sadam moved some WMD to seria before the war broke out but who knows and who cares, Sadam is out of power and will not return.

Also Norman have you been to Iraq yourself?? I pose this question Because I in fact was there during the first Gulf War as a Operations Specialist with the Navy. If you haven't been there how can you speak for the people of Iraq.

I never did say I loved Bush or Bush ruled unless your talking about another kind of Bush lol, I just said I support him in his actions since I did in the first place and the people should continue to support him since he has been re-elected.

I also Never said Bush was a Peace President for one there is no such thing and if there was all hell would break loose with other countrys wanting to try and take over that country, of course there country is not peaceful right now its in a war between us and rebals. Kinda like the french off the ivory coast is fighting rebals.

I don't think anybody could prepare the world for such an event, if that event ever does happen, But I don't see a magnetic pole flip anytime soon, I think things would have to get a whole lot worse weather wise to even think of something like that, are you saying its going to happen?if so what are you basing that on?

I tell ya now, I don't see any government coming up with any plan for such events, even global warming they got the kyoto but its all rubbish and experts say it won't really help.

actually I think he could if he had the right influences if you know what I mean and had the proper information show the studies on magnetic pole reversals and such, but with the lack of evidense and scientist to push the theroy to the President then no he couldn't do the work.

From what I have see Bush is very conserative when it comes to science and research sure he provides money for research but with his scientific advisors that he has now you won't see much happen, thats both his fault for not having the proper people working fo him and the advisors fault for lack of understanding.
