Hmmm...Right down, "loved every song " favorite?...hmm Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory....My taste has grown since then but I still listen to it and the cd is wearing out now.
Disraeli Gears was the first hippy album I bought that I remember, it "glowed" under a black light and was one of Eric Claptons better albums for those times. I still enjoy listening to it today but Spike is still up there.
First album ever: A night at the opera - Queen. Still my all-time favourite. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Other fav albums: Fumbling towards ectasy - simply Sarah Mclachlan's best album ever John Lennon - Legend: simply cant live without it All the Beatles albums The man who - Travis The wall - Pink Floyd
Disraeli gears by Cream- Yeah, I love that one. "Outside Women Blues" is just tour de force guitar playing. There is a live at the BBC (1967) cd that is just brilliant- Clapton played like he was possessed and is much better than the self indulgent "Wheels of Fire".
hm... I think it was "Live - Way We Walk", the Genisis. With Phil Collins... The second was "Please Please Me" by the Beatles. And from there... my taste improved.
My Mom and Dad and older brother had bought some albums before I did, And the first one I ever chose was Britney's Baby One More Time.
Yeah but that ain't old. My first was "The Kingston Trio at Large" in 1959. I don't seem to have it any more -- probably wore it out at college parties -- but I've still got my second one, Marty Robbins's "Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs," the one with "El Paso." Now Cosmic Traveler with his Spike Jones -- he might give me a run for the money. I've got Julie London's "Julie Is Her Name," but I bought it in the 1960s. They didn't put copyright dates on music like they do now, but I'm sure it was five or ten years old by the time I got it. It still sounds good, just an electric guitar and a bass viol for accompaniment.
Paul Simon "Graceland"... still in my top five. I remember thinking it was quite a feat to have memorized all the words to "You Can Call Me Al."
hmmmm... off the top of my head I'd say Sgt. Pepper but if I thought about it there's probably 50 others I like as much.
First ever bought = 'Hang ups' by Goldfinger. The first music i EVER heard that wasnt mainstream goddam pop (or something similar) It was like waking up after being asleep for ages. *Dreams happily* Favorite album is Abraxas by Santana
I cant remember exactly, maybe i bought them both; Greenday - Dookie The Offspring - Smash I still like a lot of the songs, if not for the songs themselves, at least for that nostalgic feeling they are able to dig up. -nick
It's debateable, but I'd have to say the Art of Noise (specifically the earlier one with Close to the Edit). That or a Weird Al or Dr Demento one.
Bought with real cash-Linkin Park 'Hybrid Theroy' Downloaded Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! - The White Stripes 'Elephant'(???)
My first album was probably Debbi Gibson...i don't know the title, But my favortie album that I bought was Jedi Mind Tricks, Violent By Design
senality is catching green day wasn't first album, it was first cd. debbie gibson was my first album. now i feel so old. my first favorite song was: down by the baaaay....where the watermelons groooow....back to my hooome...i dare not gooo, for my mother will say.....__________ (fill in the blank).
Wow. Seems to be lots of young people here, lol. Anyways, first album I ever bought was Zenyatta Mondatta by The Police. Easily still one of the best albums of all time.
