Great song, wegs. You have an open-minded curiosity, which will make for an interesting life. Enjoy it! Rainbows-Walter Lewin Next time, when you look at a rainbow, you’ll look at it differently. You’ll see more than those, whose experience is rather shallow. Your knowledge will add to the beauty, it will not subtract. Maybe this would be a good time to insert Fraggle’s favorite “The Rainbow Connection”, or not. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Ditto, Anew! Mystic Rhythms: The Philosophical Vision of Rush by Carol Selby Price "If one shuts off the senses so as to escape pain, it works both ways, and pleasure will be ruled out, too. By contrast, Tom Sawyer feels with exquisite clarity. The world is deep; the world is deep. Love and life are deep." These thoughts echo Friedrich Nietzsche’s: “The world is deep, and deeper than the day could read. Deep is its woe. Joy deeper still that grief can be. Woe days: Hence, go! But joys want all eternity, want deep, profound eternity.” In various works, Nietzsche preached philosophy of joy, of will, of the prerogative of the “superman” to seize the day. It is his right to create new and bold values, to wrest the scepter from the infirm, palsied, and withered hands of those who have ruled the world with timidity, with fear and hatred of life and of its vivid joys. "Tom Sawyer" is Rush’s image of the superman, Nietzsche’s Prophet Zarathustra. Because he has the boldness to seize it, the future is his.” Tom Sawyer

I like this; thanks for sharing with us here. It has been a well accepted notion that out of all our senses, smell will trigger the strongest memory recall. Whether that takes us back to a special person or event, our sense of smell is supposed to be the strongest. But, to me, hearing a certain song will bring forth in me such emotion...good or bad...it gives "scent" a run for its money. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
