So there are really very few Jewish men, for example. Just the tiny group in Jews for Jesus.

 

I mean seriously, this is pretty much the only answer that makes any sense to me so far. Or at least 'had a penis and balls', I think people who are in horrible accidents are still men even if they lose these things.

1) punches involve twisting motions and these muscles are critical.
2) real men like to breathe and these muscles help block punches that might inhibit breathing.
3) I think the obliques would also provide some protection to the kidneys, and gosh it feels bad to be kicked or punched in the kidneys.
