Every religion preaches love. Every atheist practices love. Love is something beyond religion or science. It has such a healing power that it is an all encompassing panacea for every wounded heart. Love is beyond logic, hence mysterious. It is spontaneous, natural and effortless.

Would you like to share your thoughts on love...

Can you elaborate on why you believe love is 'effortless?'

If you love something, you just love it. I don't know if you make any effort to love it.If you make any effort to love it, i think it is not love but something else in the disguise of love.

How about people in your life who have deeply hurt you, does it not take (some) effort to continue to love them? (if you so choose to)

It depends on your idea of love. I feel if you have a true love then you will be not be hurt because true love comes from heart and not from mind.

    Interesting, hansda.

Perhaps your viewpoint is equivalent to say…’loving without conditions.’ Unconditional love?

Perhaps true, unconditional love comes from the heart, but it is the mind that sometimes, applies the conditions. *chuckle*

I think, it is a kind of thing; where mind is not there but only heart is there.

Understand that everything right now in existence has its right to be. I do not like humans at all, but i am all for the idea that everyone should be able to live a life worth living and of there own free choice.

Love to me from human perspective is a selfish feeling, glad i have never felt it for anyone or ever will.

People obsess with there selfish needs, and try to rationalise them all into terms that others can understand.

So what you think love is, is from my view a way the universe gets to con you into continuing the universe by producing the energy needed to create new life. I think the universe cons you lot in believing that love is something that is right, but its only you doing what the universe wants in reproducing in effect. The universe needs you to feel good about this action, thats why it gives you this thing you call love, to continue itself.

We have no idea why or what we are doing, other than it makes people feel good. I assume it does as its got you lot to endlessly breed.

Like i said i will never be in love or feel anything for any human, as i do not really like humans at all. I see them all as selfish minions.

I believe there are two roads in your life one towards dark and one towards light. The light is not what love is, love is there to get you to continue the universe, and its a selfish feeling it gives you to continue the universe for what ever the universe is. Everything in the universe needs to play its role in continuing the universe, and thats why you feel love.

Love is free of the human mind. It's an abstract deity. Why do I think that? Well, would you not love being God? Love has to be real, I wouldn't love if love weren't real, and I certainly have loved ever. Love is a bonding agent.

Just curious andy, do you feel that people who claim to be loving, are just feigning it? (for selfish, and not altruistic reasons)

What are your thoughts on altruism?

One thing you see from humans they could be doing altruistic things for all kinds of reasons, and its got nothing to do with love.

I see the feeling of love as something as selfish, when someone says love they really mean, something that makes them feel good inside, or completes them.

Eating chocolate has been shown to have similar feelings.

Like when we hear rich people doing various things for poor or something or charity, i always think its a belief they have of balance. They are trying to balance there bad deeds with there good deeds. I am sure there is a term for this. There is probably a term for this, but thats why i believe the very rich do sometimes do things for poor or charities. They believe in balancing there good deeds with there bad, so i always think what have they done thats bad.
    ^^
I am sure there is a name or label but cannot think of it right now for this belief. i.e that you balance bad deeds in life with good deeds. So these people can be absolutely evil in some terms, but they balance it out with some good deeds.

The more you sacrifice yourself for someone, the more you love that someone.. Perfect and true love is described in the bible. The more patient, kind, etc, you are, the more loving you are.

    Convergernt - Divergent

    Love

Love-1 /\ = closed triangle -><-><- i.e. IN as inward towards specifci set of each other(s), convergent, contractive, mass-attractive, associative, embracive/enclosure.

Love-2 = Y = open triangle <---> i.e. OUT as in outward love, ergo divergent, dispersive, expansive, dissasociative ex send out love in all/omni directions with no expectations.

Love-3 = O i.e. orbiting AROUND as in what love goes around, comes around on either a inward convergent trajectory or outward divergent trajectory.

In our every action, the two main components involved are Heart and Mind. Heart is simple, pure and spontaneous. Mind is complex, complicated where all the calculations, manipulations and politics are made.

So, in our actions where only heart is involved, its pure love. Love can only give love and it cannot take love. That way love is like light.

In our actions where mind is involved it is with some calculated purpose. Here things don't come for free. It is always with some sort of price tag(may be cash or some other kind).

    Metaphysical love---mind/intelligence

Illusion/perception convolution of above and below

    Physical love---heart/emotions
