The wind doesn't move? The ocean waves don't move? Everything moves and always thru using energy obtained from its environment. Living things cannot "move on their own".

You're right, they're not, which is why I said that ultimately the only true life is the life of the universe. Human beings are nothing more than processes or functions of the universe itself, like a wave is a function of the ocean.

Show me an ocean that goes from a static state with no waves, into an active state with waves, without any outside force acting upon it. You can't, because oceans do not move on their own. The universe, however, does move on it's own, and to say that it's dead and inanimate is beyond absurd.

The universe isn't alive. Life presupposes the universe, its energy and its structures, and not the other way around.

Atheists threw out of the idea of the celestial architect who created the universe and set it in motion, but they kept the idea of the world as an inanimate and dead artifact, which is even more absurd. There is obviously life and intelligence at work here, and if we apply Occam's razor, we see there is no reason to assume that it exists outside the universe, but is instead inherent in the universe itself.

So you believe inanimate things can move on their own with no outside cause? Do you have any evidence of such nonsense? Give me just a single example of this happening, just one.

Life is not the ability to move oneself without using energy from the universe. Such a thing would be the definition of magic. And how do you know the universe is moving itself? Does spacetime move? Do you have some data to confirm this?

No. I said everything moves by using the energy of its environment. Living things are no exception.

Occam's razor. There's no reason to suppose something outside the universe is causing it to act.

The universe is all that there is, it has no environment. What's making it act?

In other words all activity in the universe is confined to the universe itself and to the processes contained therein. Yes..No God is required for anything to happen. In philosophy we call this causal closure.

There is also no reason to suppose that there is some "intelligence" involved in the universe when it works quite well without it. The intelligence is in the lifeforms.

Nothing. The universe is itself energy. It's activity comes from the physical interactions contained within it. No God required.

Then it's alive, because inanimate things, by definition, do not animate themselves.

I say it's also intelligent because it's doing something intelligent, forming highly complex mathematical patterns that our greatest minds are still struggling to comprehend. It even formed self analyzing patterns called humans!

No..not even living things animate themselves. The universe is simply energy, neither intelligent nor alive.

Vinegar and baking soda form CO2 and acetic acid with no intelligence required.

It doesn't happen in a vacuum, it's created by outside forces and underlying principles.

Those forces are well understood however and don't require intelligence.
