I think that was a joke, Asguard.

OK, pretty sure you copied and pasted the pnumothorax explanation. Can you please link the source so I can read further? (no spelling errors, so its easy to tell it didn't come from you)
And if you are not getting paid, then you are a volunteer. Are you getting paid? And no, US EMTs are NOT the lowest grade of health care workers. Its insulting that you would say so. In fact, what makes you think that?
no, i didnt copy paste that, the copy write belongs to me. But you dont belive me copy it and dump it into google and see
Sure, I can give orgasms to the furniture just by sitting on it.
I would ask men what they believe would hurt worse, the tearing and the head coming out or the labor pains. my opinion the labor pain was the worse of it all, and I agree there was some kind of natural pain relief once the head started to come out. or I would of felt all the tearing. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

Have not read any post here - but answer to the thread's question, in a single word, is:
BTW as an aside there's a lot you can do beforehand to avoid tears.
Yep! That was brought up, and maybe it helps, but clearly it's not required. Women do get pregnant during rape, and I'm sure there was no orgasm involved.
[my bold] So it's being advantageous was contingent.
So whose or 'what's' purpose was it these traits developed from?
Also: the trait is not selective. What is it selecting?
I am being fussy, I know, but I cannot read the OP as anything less than wildly misleading - however subtle or petty my objections may seem.
well i don't plan to have more kids, but curiuos as to what your talking about as far as preventing tears. I know that we have a choice to get cut to prevent tearing and control. i also had my uterus tear because i did not dilate. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
A documentary on the female orgasm
The Female Orgasm Explained
One theory is that the female orgasm helps to alleviate anxiety and make the female receptive to sex.
You can access the above article here:
but it seems like chicken and egg to me, since anxious women are less likely to orgasm and it would logically seem like they would need to the most
It would have been better, then, if she had at least a small orgasm at the suggestion of sex or the approach of a male for sex. As it is the anxiety is often present - though not just for women - and the orgasm is not guaranteed and in any case arrives after the anxiety is moot. Of course remembered orgasms can made sex attractive, but a little orgasm up front seems vastly more effective. Immediate relief of anxiety and a clear reminder of what might come again soon.
Well, you could say the same for men. (Other than the "not guaranteed" part.) I think both sexes both remember previous orgasms and feel it approaching.
Men, on the other hand, at least culturally, do not know as well as women where the reverse gear is. A man having an orgasm before, might just walk away. A woman on the other hand is just getting started and was conscious, generally, of wanting more things than that orgasm, though some added ones would still work as carrot.
Let me ask this - if sex wasn't pleasurable... what reason would there be to have it? Obviously the survival of the species... but what incentive would there be?
My wife and I are pretty lucky I guess... I can generally bring her to orgasm at least two or three times before I do (unless she's been particularly mean during the course of the day and been teasing me... then I'm lucky to get her to once). True orgasm is a sight to behold, both anatomically, physiologically, and emotionally - the effects on the body are incredible.
Read the whole thread, a really good explanation was already given. So the female can have control over fertilization.
I don't agree with the conclusions from a small group of women. There are a vast amount of women with different turn ons. Some women enjoy pain, some enjoy a little fear, some don't apply emotions with sex while others do. I don't think orgasm is about inhabitions, or a shut down of emotions. I do think more study needs to be done. It would be something to see what comes up.
Also because something happens in response to orgasm doesn't mean thats the purpose imo.
Here is something to add;
(Medical Xpress) -- The term mind-blowing has been used to describe great sexual encounters for many generations, but for one 54-year-old woman, sex with her husband really was mind-blowing.

A new case study published by Dr. Kevin Maloy and Dr. Jonathan Davis in the Journal of Emergency Medicine describes a 54-year-old patient that was brought into the emergency room at Georgetown University Hospital with memory loss after a sexual encounter with her husband. She complained that she could not remember anything that happened in the 24 hours before she reached sexual climax.
Doctors Maloy and Davis diagnosed the woman with what is known as transient global amnesia, or TGA. TGA is a condition that causes a sudden onset of confusion or memory loss. Patients will become disorientated in regards to time, but the memory of general information such as their name, family members and other information is not lost. It is usually a short term condition and most people will only experience one episode of memory loss, though it can reoccur in five to 25 percent of people.
How unexpected and violent was the sex? ***
Loss of recent prior memory after strong trauma (car accidents etc.) is the norm or at least very common, but usually only for a few prior hours, not 24. It has to due with the way "permanent" memory is formed.
*** Oh - that's right - she doesn't remember. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! or Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Maybe she had multiple orgasms with each one being more intense than the previous one until she passed out from the intensity of it. When she next woke up all she could remember for the last 24 hours was the intense pleasure of the orgasm. Sounds like one of those once in a lifetime orgasms that some of us have and wish we could do a repeat, but just can't seem to ever get the right combenation of drugs and sex together again. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Oh! I forgot drugs weren't mentioned were they?:m:
