Unless you are using for for education purposes, are not profitting off said usage, it is public domain or some other concessions for using small bits or using it for demonstration purposes, news reporting and such.
Basically, if you aren't trying to horn in on someone's benefit of having taken the picture and make money off it it claim it as your own, it's pretty much fine.

Then again, watch out if it's a picture of Lars Ulrich's dog - he'll have your ass and your house!!
