The Dead. There are a lot of great axe-men around and always have been but the combo of Weir/Garcia are the best ever on stage. normonster

The Rolling Stones are the longest running band of all time. A Cockroach Band, as my friends say, meaning you could drop a nuke on stage and they'd just keep playing. They pulled off something truly incredible by creating an effective band with an enduring legacy that first existed at the time of The Beatles. I love the Beatles, but we see who lasted don't we? In the meantime, Mick Jagger's...ummm...individual voice and Keith Richards on guitar has been the combination for many of the world's best known songs, as well as some the the deepest and most haunting songs of all-time, and the circle is complete with some feel-good songs that just kind of feel right.

    I dunno...Simon & Garfunkel...The Doors... I don't really have a particular favorite band, mostly favorite songs.

Someone tell me more about 'Death in Vegas'. Only heard one song by them --> of the Lost in Translation soundtrack. <EDIT> Jesus titty-fucking christ. Their homepage is creepy as hell. What's up with these dudes?
