If you disregard people who do not post, or rarely post,I would guess 20's.
If you include every single member, it works out as 16 apparently.
That's what Fraggle said, and he is usually reliable in his information.

That's from a couple of years ago and I don't know how the average was computed. I'm 65 so I drag it upward a bit.

Stryder or other admin, can you please send me: SELECT dob, post_count FROM users; if it's not too much effort? (alter sql where appropriate).

The post count can be blurred if necessary.

Yes, and while you're at it, see if you can work out the average age of poster.

Why didn't you make this a poll? Then, you could have found out.

It's been done a few times in the past. What doesn't help however is those polls got left open, which meant when peoples ages changed it didn't register the change.

I've put a query in for more anonymous statistical data from what people enter to the site to be made public, however it's going to require some coding and won't necessarily be based on accurate data since users can put any information in the boxes on signup usually.

I don't really care - so long as you have direct SQL access to the DB you will be able to get something interesting. It's then up to your judgement as to what is acceptable to pass on. Non personally-identifiable information is the safest bet I'd say.

I'd recommend counting every member who has made at least one post in the last six months. That way we're counting people who participate minimally, not looky-loos. We'll have to trust them on the age business. The young people might claim to be older and vice versa, so hopefully it would average out. Hmm... better get the sigma then too.

Not that smart, otherwise he'd realise he'd be a "baby" and termed a "boy" at that age at least. Seriously though I think we'd be looking at 14-16 as the Average Age for the site, even with use older people posting.
