If I take good care of myself, one of the side effects of this is that others will be spared of my hatred and my ignorance. This is the most one can do for others anyway.

My view is based on the fact that our senses passively filter reality, the data then is actively filtered by the brain. This means that we do not perceive reality as it really is.. we base everything on this subjective reality we created. Meaning and value are a part of that subjective reality. A mushroom for example, can mean survival for some and is then valued for these properties. To others it just means a photographic opportunity, it is valued for it's beauty. To some a mushrooms may not mean anything much, it is then is not valued in any particular way. All of this is completely subjective, as the mushroom objectively has no meaning or value at all.. it just is. I hope this explains my view somewhat better ?
