What do you name your computer?

i used to call my old computer ; blue screen of death.
it kept crashing. dont know why; problem with kernel so it was pretty fucked. havent required to call this computer anything. maybe spoke too soon.

"Baby."
I know that probably sounds really bad, but its an absolutely beautiful machine. Then, when it won't do as I wish I say something like: "Come on Baby, Come on *%$###@^&86%$#333....." Its like something outta a bad porno. I suppose I shoulda used Hal since my computer has that annoying voice command feature which always manages to get turned on somehow. :bugeye:

Oh we also have Billy. He's got some...ermm...problems though. He's got some severe..disabilities..

 

I named mine:

"When-I-bought-you-it-was-fun-but-look-at-you-now-why-don't-you-work-like-you-used-to?"

or:

"Why-I-ought'a-throw-you-out-the-window-so-your-carcass-can-feed-the-dogs"

or:

"WonderJoyMachine" WJM for short. Whu-juh-meh! lol

I call my computer home

 

renamed mine from Digital Dust to Electrical Disaster

 

My computers are named Hal 9000, Johnny Five and T-1000

Hal 9000 is my powerhouse, he's well-respected and highly honored by the other computers. Something parallel to the real Hal of 2001 happened when this computer was infected and attempted to destroy all data on its hard disk, it was later cured and became quite helpful

. Johnny Five is the rebellious little ragamuffin, his severe disabilities have just been cured with the injection a highly sought after and rare form of RAM that he needed to cure him. Fond memories will always make J-5 a favorite. T-1000 is the middle of the bunch, always determined on killing anyone who stands in his way. Once this computer electrocuted me when I tried to close a certain program that kept opening.

And that is the story of my three computers!

 

My computer lived up to its former name BabyLon a little bit too well.....so I have renamed it, but it's a secret name.

Well it crashed, so I gave it a little more friendly and peaceful name this time. A swedish name, as mundane as they get.

 

Sun - Main workstation running Windows XP
Jupiter - Server running RedHat 7.1. No X.
Pluto - My mother's computer.

Workgroup - Milky Way.

I've just renamed mine to The Blackhole of Dooooom!! (notice the extra o's, heheh), primarily because I just lost a shload of my work.
