Otherwise I carpool since I rarely go anywhere past 10-15 miles all alone. I also don't plan on ever buying a car as it's a waste of money in my eyes. I get to travel more and do lots more other fun things with the money I save each month on gas, insurance, yearly registration, car payments, etc.

Heh, whenever I visit my mom, her boyfriend looks at me like I'm crazy. He has a mustang, vette, and a truck all for himself, not counting my mom's vette. Silly car junkies. Thankfully my uncle who's my dad's fraternal twin sees some sense in me since he's into mountain biking, but he still loves his truck and keeps pushing it on me, lol.

P.S. What's that frame weight, Roman?

I want a Jeep Liberty CRD, with the diesel engine, but house payments come first.

2002 Toyota RAV4; I bought it new for my wife because she wanted it but then never drove it because the seats were too large for her and she flopped about in them! Now she drives a Toyota IST, known as Scion in USA and she loves it (and so do I).

Prior to that, in descending order, I had a Golf GTi 16v, Porsche 911, Golf convertible, Daimler Sovereign, Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 Bertone, VW rear engined van and last and very least a Ford Anglia van.

My favourite all round car was the Porsche and after owning that I never wanted any other make, unfortunately, in Cyprus where I have lived for the past 12 years there are no roads long enough or straight enough to really enjoy a car like that, without a serious risk to your and other people's health. In town, the potholes and rough roads means it's not even feasible for posing in unless you're prepared to shell out regularly for broken suspension and wheels etc.

The car with the best 'feel' was the 1973 Alfa Romeo, in that, you felt totally connected to the road, the steering feel was sublime, but it used to break down every week.

Cars don't mean a lot to me nowadays for the reasons stated above, but if I lived in the right place I would love a Porsche 911 or Boxter and if I were rich enough a new Bentley Continental, which looks like an orgasm on wheels.

    Oh, I almost forgot-

    1972 CJ5 Postal Jeep
232 Inline 6, Left hand drive, 3 speed
Rare factory conversion for the CJ5 with the steel postal body and sliding metal doors.
(Usually the postal Jeeps are called DJ5A, but this has 4wd.)

I'm still working on this one, but it runs good.

1998 Ford Escort SE. Bought it for $1,200 and it gets about 30 mpg in the winter and 40 mpg in the summer. Pretty sweet versatile little thing. I can put all my bass guitar amp (which is pretty big) and a few guitars plus still fit a few people in it.
