I think 4000 years is longer than 60.

And if Israelis can get so attached to a piece of land in 60 years well the Palestinians have been living there uninterrupted for thousands.

And yet a state of Israel was formed for refugees from Europe, because thousands of years ago their ancestors had a state there.

The Philistines (Palestines) never controlled the Holy Land, perhaps you should call the land Canaan.

So if Israel was lost 2000 years ago and this gives Israelis the right of return, well then apparently never.

as usual you didnt answer the question. israel is country created for jews to solve the problem of anti semitism, so jews can protect themselves against persecution. the right to return, is to return to israel, which will mean the assimilations of milions. that is unrealistic. a more viable solution was a palestinian state, which the palestinians denied because they never got a good offer according to them. no one denied them of anything. now in the midst of war, a solution to the refugee problem doesnt look achievable since the palestinians like to be victims, instead of soling their problems. at least when it comes to their leaders. so when should they stop claiming entire israel? 100 years? 500? 2000? never?

So with all the wide world available to them why was Israel created in the ME?

Who do Israelis have more in common with? The West or the Middle East?

Would Israel give up part of its land to say, the Kurds today to solve the problem that they have no nation of their own?

If Israelis feel they have a right to this land, then so do the Palestinians. If they can return after 2000 years, well Palestinians never left, did they?

At this point, its either learn to live together or survivor takes all.

Assimilation of millions is no problem. After all, the Palestinians are expected to accomodate all the Jews who immigrated to Israel. If they are willing to do that, why not the Israelis?

The Jews were there before, so why not again?

They were, and are now, a nation in the Middle East.

    Huh?

The Holy Land was a virtually uninhabited wilderness until the Jews began to develope it in modern times.

Then they should be excellent role models for the Palestinians wouldn't you say?

Doesn't change the reality that they are there, here and now, and are never leaving, no matter how many walls are put up or how many die of starvation.

    like where?

too general of a question. jewish groups come from different places, and even then its complicated.

    why should they do that?

when did right became a feeling? jews today have a country, because they were wise enough to take advantage of historical events. neither did the jews left, there were always jews in israel. you are attempting to make this sound like another territory dispute, when in fact the palestinians didnt want a country during the time israel was created. back then they saw themselves as arabs, fleeing to arabs countries that declared war on israel.

    tell that to the palestinians.

Muslim schools have Middle Eastern maps which don't show Israel.

ho the ever poor palestinians. so are the indians in native america, and every other minorities around the world who inhabited "their" land in the past. they all deserve a country? why doesnt the muslim world with almost 3rd of the planet territory give the palestinian a portion of land, for a state?
