Please, anyone, tell me what is communist about China except the name of the ruling party? As I see it, it's super capitalist dictatorship with a heavy dose of nationalism mixed in. USA is a welfare, communist state compared to China.
That ain't right. (being executed for a drug violation)
Spider, what ain't right? The original post or what Dixonmassey posted??
You're confusing me and, although I realize that's not so difficult to do, I'd appreciate a little help understanding your post.
Well, spidergoat explained it...
Anyways, drug trafficking is quite strict in Asia ( I should know, on flights to Malaysia and Singapore they always warn you that to carry any amount of drugs or narcotics is grounds for the death penalty). So the fact that they died because they were drug traffickers (or users) isn't surprising. What IS disturbing is how they carry out the punishment...
But then again, if you're totally desensitized to violence, you wouldn't mind now would you?
Well, they won't violate that law again, now, will they? And the next person who thinks about violating that law might have second thoughts, huh?
Why is that disturbing? How would YOU have executed someone in a less "disgusting" way??
Who are you talking to? But I think most people are becoming more and more desensitized to violence. We see every day, all day long on tv, movies, video games, newspapers, etc. It's becoming a normal, everyday occurance over the entire world ...how could we not become desensitized to it?
What exactly was the drug violation in this case? GODDAMN LAWS!! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
The entire Chinese government needs to be taken out and shot and we do business with them and give them our high-tech jobs.
I didn't see anyone that looked old in those images. I wonder why only the young are being sectioned out and shot? It would seem to me that if the Chinese were really intent on stopping the spread of drugs that they would kill those that are at the top of the cartel instead of those at the bottom.
She was probably just listening to some Bob Marley, can't be too careful.
You don't get to the top of the tree by getting caught at the bottom. (that sounds like a famous quote; I like thatPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!)
I think it's ammoral to execute people until there is a slightest possibility of a mistake during investigation. I hope that if anyone of you will go to China, a bag of drugs will not be planted in your pocket. Also, as far as I know, tens of millions of Chinese have a choise between prostitution, drug trafficking or digging in garbage dumps. China is not even USA where shit jobs, paying enough for junk food and crappy shelter, are relatively accessible (not for all though). It's cruel to execute poor folks just because they wanted to execute their built in survival insticts. Punishment should be commesurable with crime. I doubt those girls could carry tonnes of drugs in their pockets.
Talk about hypocracy! One person gets shot and you get so upset about that person getting shot, that you then advocating shooting hundreds more??!! ...LOL!! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Did you mean "immoral"? And I'm assuming that your sentence should read: "I think it's IMMORAL to execute people until there is NOT a slightest possibility of a mistake during investigation."
If that's what you meant, then how do you know that there was no doubt?
As I understand it, China does not tolerate drug-dealing in their nation. They also have made it public knowledge that to do so is instant death. So anyone caught dealing drugs should have known better ....and if they didn't, then ignorance of the law is not an excuse.
If the USA and western nations took the same approach, we'd have lots and lots less crime in the streets of our cities. But, no, we coddle criminals, even vicious murderers and violent rapists ...give them free food, medical/dental services, free housing, even free lawyers to try to get out of it! Geez, what next, pay all criminals a fee for each crime they DON'T commit??
But, ya' know, I'd be willing to bet that that Chinese girl in the post won't ever commit another crime in China. Wanna' bet?
So how could somebody find out what that person (who got shot in the head) did? I had a hard time thinking of a drug-related charge one could justify using the death penalty for (ODing someone else?) but I'm sure there are a lot of people who disagree with me. Why?
And why is Asia so anti-drug? I understand why a nation such as China would feel this way as at one point in time most of its population was addicted to opium, and drugs probably reduce productivity, but I have heard that places like Japan are also quite hard on drugs. Does anyone who knows about Asian culture have a guess as to why?
Nevermind, I don't even understand why my own country's drug laws are how they are.
Why do you think that those other nations/cultures didn't learn from the horrible mess that was China in those "drug years"? Anyone who knew anything at all about history could have foreseen the same thing that happened to China, happening to their own nation.
And, as a matter of fact, that same thing is happening here in the USA at an alarming rate! ...and many, mostly the casual drug users, can't see it or understand it. Whenever you see someone zonked out on drugs, you'll know why some of us can't abide by it ...and surely not for "casual" use!! I've seen far, far too many druggies' lives totally fucked up to ever, EVER approve the use of such drugs. Whole families totally destroyed, including children.
weed cures cancer, thats why they dont want you to smoke it.
