Many years ago a knowledgeable friend gave an estimate of the minimum value of a well executed oil painting by a little known artist. He expressed it as x dollars per square foot & suggested using this estimate when buying a painting at a flea market or garage sale. I forgot his estimate, which is probably not correct now. Does anyone posting here have a thought?

Thomas Kinkade :Gag: Anyway, if you really need an estimate for insurance purposes take it into a local gallery. I'm sure that someone there could give you a reasonable appraisal.
