    "Univerisities"?

You know what this means don't you? Only stupid uneducated people become Republicans.

Uh huh, a serious analysis of our education system sidelined by liberal propagandists and Bush-bashers.

The definition of Liberal you have given does not conform to the normal meaning of the term in the West today. That type of Liberalism died c. 1900.

Nah, more like most educated people come to the intelligent decision of freedom should exist for all rather than being an uneducated person from the South becoming a Republican relying on old-fashioned Bible doctrine to show them the way.

    Neildo:

You do realize that evangelical Christians are equally present in the Democratic party, yes?

You know, considering the split between Republican and Democrat in America is roughly 50-50?

If universities are too left-wing for many, then don't go to American universities. Simple as that

Regular ol' Christians, or evangelical Christians?

I know almost every politician is a Christian mainly because you're gonna have one helluva damned hard time being elected if not grabbing part of that election base, but it's one thing to use them, another to be one, and another to try and use your power to force doctrine on others.

I wouldn't mind seeing the stats if ya have em to show the difference between regular ol' Christians and evangelical ones.

...And my liberal friend just joined the Army, so it just goes to show that generalizations don't always apply to reality. I had conservative friends in college, and they always felt free to express themselves. In debate class, it wouldn't work if everyone had a liberal bias, someone had to take the opposite side.

You sound like you haven't been to university.

Teaching is a job. Teachers have to try to train all those people you admire who have what you regard as "real" jobs.

In fact, academics are often the first people instigate change in the world. The people you admire are so tied up trying to make money, they seldom spend much time thinking about the society they live in, the laws that govern it, and so on. But get this: academics are paid to think. That's a major part of their job description.
