It amazes how "intelligent" people who profess to embrace logic and order have absolutely no eye for design—as evidenced here lately. Mostly, their sense of aesthetics is driven, it seems to me—for there's been nothing much to convince me otherwise—by bias and god knows what else, for design itself is never quite discussed, right? But what is design? Design incorporates elements, structure, and style. For the most part, I like Superluminal's elements. But there's absolutely no structure. Everything is thrown across the board in a zig-zag manner: there's no design.

Nexus… I thought that one of your reasons for your emphatic rejection of my design was because it wasn't, darn it all, minimalistic enough for your taste. Funny how I seem to invoke in you a reminder of yourself.

It contains elements, has structure and a certain style.

As you can see the 'f' is slanted sideways. It's symbolic for the forum trying to crush science!

Wrong font, in my opinion. I'd look to see something extra bold. And the SF needs to be elsewhere: it disfigures the logo by not being a necessary part of it. And you need to add the urethral opening. Otherwise, nice minimalistic job.

 

I like the stylised pubes.

Perhaps if you were to reconfigure your basic design elements here so that the phallus and balls appeared to be emanating from the front of a human forehead - perhaps, possibly, you might in that way be utilising your basic design criteria more in keeping with Meanwhiles obviously considerably more refined sense of aesthetic, equally at the same time doing so in a visual language even the very same couldn't possibly fail to interpret correctly.

Come on Meanwhile. It's meant as a starting point. Arrange the elements anyway you wish and resubmit. I don't care. And everything is not "thrown across the board". Would you line up all of the icons in a row? Or what? Fix it and resubmit.

Actually a phallus is not a pornographic symbol to me. That's because I spend a year in the USA looking at mouse penises in the name of science. Hence, it's a symbol of science.
