The recession is not Obama's doing, and it would be uncharacteristic of him to raise taxes on the lower and middle class.
But he is taxing the middle and lower classes - through inflation. I do agree Obama isn't personally to blame for the financial crises as we've simply reached the inevitable end of a flawed system on his watch. If it does end on his watch, that would be great for him. He can take credit for lifting the yoke off the backs of the American middle class. But, TTYTT he seems more interested in siding with the rich, than with us.
