Trolls enter here

Lots of 'not quite trolling' but bloody annoying irrelevant to the topic banter going on here by regulars, a love-in with no merit.

I was just wondering if those engaging in this :

*Consider their humour is enjoyed by an audience wider than those that engage in it.

* Recognise they are revealing narcsistic tendancies

*Are aware that unless they ALSO while 'not quite trolling' contribute to thread topics once in a while they just come off as attention seekers with nothing to say?

You can say nothing anywhere you know

This of course does not apply to those who DO in the majority relate their posts to the topic at hand.

Just wondering, you don't really expect to achieve anything with this, do you?

We already knew that the worst of those you have in mind are the keenest to attempt to shame others on the same basis.

A specific "were you amused by ..." poll would be more to the point.

I would add:

* Trolls don’t give a shit what imbeciles think – especially imbeciles with a elf-proclaimed 155 I.Q. A mind that can reason so weakly about God or about ‘selflessness’ let us say, or post ridiculous, immature arguments in defense of ridiculous, immature positions cannot be expected to reason any better on any other matter….including characterizing “Trolls”.

* Trolls, sometimes, recognize their own humanity but do not deny it nor do they mask it.
They just remind everyone else of their own and they expose the bullshit and hypocrisy behind the other’s pretences.

* Trolls – whatever that means – do not waste their time speaking human to apes. A mind’s awareness is also exposed in knowing how to adapt to the environment at hand, and how not to waste energy and expend unnecessary effort where it will bear no fruit. Only a fool speaks to a child as if it were mature enough or psychologically stable enough to accept what he/she is telling it about its delusions and superstitions.
Might as well write a poem for your Dog.

* Trolls laugh at the pretence of there being “attention seekers” and "non-attention-seekers".
Coming here, in an of itself, is wanting to get attention; it is wanting to participate and get responses and find.
There are different kinds of attention.
Those that would want no attention would never become members but only read from the anonymity of the guest observer.

But do not fret. My time here is coming to a, temporary, close.

It's a pity that those who frequently bemoan the downfall of sciforums are the worst offenders, the least contributing to debate and the worst 'not quite trolls'.

Then there are the 'frills' ......I won't get started with them.

 

You are not going to win an argument for as long one set of rules applies to you and another to your opponent,
with your opponent expecting to be allowed to determine those ad hoc, as the game progresses.
To the contrary, it turns out that the very worst thing you can do is to attempt to complain about it.

It may yet be worthwhile for the few smart enough to tell the difference,
but for the welfare of the fool it is a thankless task,
never mind the nobility of the sentiment;
there are no extra points to be awarded for that.

These 'not quite trolls' are more interested in 'who rules' than board rules. They do not realise that post count does not demonstrate quality only quantity. And that 'tolerance' by no means reflects popularity either. I'd rather piss off the world than shove my head up someones ass the way they do here.

 

It might help if you mentioned some paticular topics which you find of no value to the community as a whole. One could ask aren't Trolls somewhat of a break from our daily mundane lives that give us some unique pleasure?
