I'd say the Persians are the last people in the world who can be accused of being submissive. Their history does not permit it. After all, the Mongols were shamanists before they conquered Persia and had their own culture and language. A hundred years with the Persians and the Mongols became Muslims and spoke Persian. Not only that, they then trasferred the Persian culture to India as the Mughals. And the Persians are still there, where are the Mongols?
