gee, well they got the basic concepts of many of those things right, the actually technology use to achieve it though was something they got ridiculously wrong. Examples of some of what they got right: Roller skates Electric Trains (Bullet Trains) Helicopters TV or Video Phone (VOIP or Webcam)

What this say about prediction of our future: 1. We will probably get the basic concept right. 2. We will be laughed at how wrong we get the technology. 3. Fashion is beyond prediction.
