I love the x-files. I have seen every episode. I know the plot. It is my favorite series. Ever. Does anyone want to talk about the x-files?

    Nope - it's unadulterated drivel.

Then why are you even bothering to post in this thread? Take your anger out on someone more deserving. Moron.

Anger? Hardly, just despair at the popularity of such pathetic crap.
    Moron? Have another guess.

I think the X files was one of the best Sci-Fi shows on television in the 90’s. But I hated all of the episodes that did not involve aliens and government conspiracies. The movie was incredible. I hope they make another one before 2012.

Because the world will end in 2012?

I liked the first few series of X-files. I thought it lost its way a bit with each plot twist.

Of course, I did not think it was anything other than mildly entertaining fantasy.

Yeah it was annoying when half of the episodes were kinda 'creature feature', but I think the plot aside from that is very intriguing. Oh and why 2012?

Did you see the last episode? I don't remember the exact date, but that is when the aliens are going to begin an all out war against humanity. All of their activities prior to 2012 was just a preparation for the real invasion.

*gasp* I remember now! I think I remember hearing something about Gillian Anderson saying that they might make another movie in some interview...

X-Files, like any show with multiple writers, had some very good episodes, some very good characters, and then some very poorly done ones. All in all, the primary characters were good, (Mulder, Skully, The Lone Gunmen, Skinner, Cancer Man), but many of the 'guest' characters varied from show to show in levels of flatness.

I haven't seen the entire series yet. Currently in season six, and we just got to see Bruce 'don't call me 'Ash'' Campbell make a guest appearence. The cameo was great, but the episode kind of stunk.

I'll probably buy Firefly before I buy X-files.

It started to bore me when it ran into too many episodes (like so many US shows), and it seemed to rip off a lot of movie plots such as The Thing.
    Scully was a babe though

I did some work for a lady here in town that authored a book or two on the x-files, from a social anthropology perspective (or something like that, I didn't read it).

I loved the x-files up to season five.

The last two seasons I was praying for a quick death for it, but dedicated to it as always.

    *sigh*

I'll post a link to the book if I find it.

    Yeah here it is:

Kind of a cool lady too. I liked her.

I loved the 3 hackers who got their own spinoff series which ended too quick...

I liked the show but Mulder's dreary pessimism killed it for me.

I have the entire series on DVD, plus all the T-Shirts, original I want to believe posters etc. from the show. I watched the show from its fledgling days, right from Pilot ep to move on to first seasons shocking finale (in which deep throat dies), In what one of the users here pointed out that mulders pessimism, i think his dark and often subtle humor and insinuating remarks and his belief system and relentlessness in beliefs made the show what it was, it was an incredible show, Deep throat in my opinion is one of the greatest episodes ever produced... after mulders exit on season 7 i went on with my life and parted ways with the show, although i later bought the dvd for the series, i found season 8 to be pretty decent and living up to its expectations, season 9 was for suckers and its ending was a little disappointing but anyways, in such a long series endings always are.

recently I am hooked on to Law and order original series (ah! those assistant DAs in Jack Mccoys office, mmmmm, they are so hot! )
