    ... as stated here: http://www.antievolution.org/features/wedge.html ?

What has the anti-evolution community left to accomplish?

I considered posting these questions in one or two other threads that are dealing with "Intelligent Design" such as this one or perhaps this one, but I didn't want to hijack Tiassa's topic nor did I think the Religion sub-forum would be the appropriate forum.

The ideal sub-forum would, of course, be Pseudoscience, but the visitors there are primarily concerned with ufos and the like... Perhaps the discussion could begin here then the thread could be moved to its appropriate forum.

The Wedge Strategy - as stated by this document: http://www.antievolution.org/features/wedge.html

The strategy is to implement a plan to drive a "wedge" into the weakest points of scientific explanations for evolution.

    It includes a three-phase plan:

    Phase I.
    Scientific Research, Writing & Publicity

    Phase II.
    Publicity & Opinion-making

    Phase III.
    Cultural Confrontation & Renewal

    And some set objectives:

    1. A major public debate between design theorists and Darwinists (by 2003)

    2. Thirty published books on design and its cultural implications (sex, gender issues, medicine, law, and religion)

    3. One hundred scientific, academic and technical articles by our fellows

    4. Significant coverage in national media

    5. Spiritual & cultural renewal

    6. Ten states begin to rectify ideological imbalance in their science curricula & include design theory

    7. Scientific achievements

    ---------------------------------

How successful has the anti-evolution community been?

I believe they've fallen short of their five-year plan, but they've definately "wedged" their foot in the door as evidenced by recent news in places like Cobb County, GA and in Pennsylvania.
