Quite simply... yes. Data suggests they are becoming more normal, as would seem to be expected from climate change. The more often such things happen, the more normalised they become.
Not able to easily post links but just Google"extreme weather frequency" for examples of reports into the matter.

As is failure to deal with them as was expected of government in the recent past.
The continuing display of incompetence in the handling of the impact of Hurricane Maria on Puerto Rico, for example, is hardly even news any more.

Wouldn't that require empathy and/or compassion? Two traits I have never seen him display. A large swath of America has given him a pass on something that was once required of a president. I suppose since the economy which he had nothing to do with is doing grand anything is excusable.

Is there a Trumpster around that can translate what he said yesterday?

‘We would make a great deal with the United Kingdom because they have product that we like,” Trump said. “I mean they have a lot of great product. They make phenomenal things, you know, and you have different names – you can say ‘England’, you can say ‘UK’, you can say ‘United Kingdom’ … the fact is you make great product, you make great things. Even your farm product is so fantastic.”

Let me try: He's a buffoon.

But he's better than an insane old woman.

You've got your election cycles confused, Roseanne Barr ran in 2012.

I'm not confused, but that tidbit explains a lot about Roseanne, thank you.

Other than Roseanne, I can't think of any female presidential candidate in my lifetime that Trump would have an advantage regarding mental stability.

the entire republican campaign was about normalising the mistrust of women as being mentally unstable by their very nature.

    "So, you're saying..."

You're an example of mental instability, if you ask me. But since you didn't, it's still relevant.

    Your kidding?
    Seriously....
    • A man who sits there pointing a "shotty" at his front door..
    • Mexican border stealing babies from parents with out records being kept.
    • A POTUS that is hell bent on destroying international stability ( world order )
    • Every trade deal and military deal has been compromised.
    • Global trust and faith in the USA at an all time low....

and you wish to accuse someone of mental instability?
    Hypocrisy must be your forte!

    trying times eh!
and maybe there is some consolation in knowing that you are not the only one...

He's not a buffoon. That's part of his schtick - his con.
And you fell for it. You bit like a baby sunfish, and that hook is never coming out.
Because to get that hook out you would have to face the fact that you swallowed it.
You got played for chump, right in front of God and everybody, by a standard fascist demagogue and his supporting propaganda wing - a completely obvious, historically stereotypical, right down the middle of the plate, tinhorn Mussolini fronting an organized fascist movement.
And in allowing that, you betrayed your friends and your family and your community and your State and your country. You betrayed every cross in Arlington.
    You can't face that.

Meanwhile, it turns out that like everything else wrong with the larger world, Trump is connected to soccer:
