You mean "are there". If you want to understand the politics of money in research, then perhaps you should apply for a grant yourself. The first thing you will encounter is a litmus test of whether you have anything to say. How do you think you'd fare? I'd guess: acid.

Actually, no, you only made a statement. Your statement: you hate science. Fine. Try living without it. Unplug yourself from the computers, software and telecom systems that science handed you on a silver platter, crawl back to the Medieval era and maybe you can get a job persecuting folks like Bruno and Galileo. Maybe you were just born in the wrong age. Some folks are born ahead of their time; maybe you were just born way behind yours.
