oh I don't think so... I think the experiment now has more validity than it ever has. Holding onto the idea it's a mistake is now getting thinner than blood.

So now that this has been confirmed, what does it mean? Are there any exploitable consequences of this?

Computers that can think faster than they can draw the screen.

I am being serious. They already do that. My monitor only displays 60fps and my card runs up to 300fps depending on the game. I am looking for James R. Dewy, Trippy, Tach, RPenner or anyone smart to comment.

Usually, the thinking part of your computer will slow the 60fps down to a halt.

    Only if your computer sucks

I also do understand that its not 100% yet but I'm just wondering if we could even take advantage of such a thing

Nah, it's really easy to slow a computer down.

Guys, keep it on topic. Neutrinos wouldn't be used in computers, they can't be detected and manipulated in any practical way. The experiments using giant machines detected 10 events over the space of weeks. A computer which can flip 10 bits in a fortnight isn't very useful.

Saying "The neutrino might be faster than light!" isn't something unique to Reiku, it's long been the best candidate, if one exists. Reiku never provided any quantitative models which made predictions, he literally just made stuff up on the spot without even basic competency in mathematics (nor could much be said for his spelling and grammar). He spouting so much nonsense and random crap it's hardly surprising he hit on something not utterly wrong.

Anyone who thinks Reiku had anything actually worth listening to didn't pay attention in school. Just like Reiku.

The diagram isn't a literal space-time path for particles, it only represents schematically the topology of an interaction. The paths are not drawn to any proper scale nor are the paths straight or curved like that.

I think the two of you should be placed into a play pen, with rattles and counting systems.

Well, little does anyone know, but they will now, but reiku did offer a mathematical theorem

Oh great another great insulter to add to the community, that's all it needs, and another thread goes off topic.

The topic is in the title.

    .......Yet

...anyway, I looked at the link given by Gazzabee, The math actually looks ok.

Reiku posts a lot of BS maths, much of which he claimed to have had checked by professional mathematicians or physicists or was even going to be published. Then it transpired he couldn't multiply out brackets and lied about doing advanced general relativity at his community college.

Besides, why are you posting the split up URL? Just use your Mister account and you could post the URL properly. Yes, I did notice you both have identical IP addresses. Funny that....

if it's true then like the article from msnbc said, Einstein's theories of Relativity need to be re-examined. but i don't see how this is new. if a theory doesn't work at subatomic level then it is missing something.

what i find interesting is that if this was true, it would mean faster-than-light travel might be possible and that interstellar travel might be possible in the future. this would also mean that those UFO sightings might not be 100% BS
