Someone recently posted a thread by this name that ended in the cesspool.

Although I agree some moderators may get peeved at ideas contrary to their own, that does not give them the right to decide for everyone what constitutes science.

Do not forget the information age has only really been upon us 19 years. Windows 95 was basically when most of us got online.

Until then we would need to go to a library and get a common accepted version of Egyptology. National Geographic and other "reliable" sources would gleen their information from the same crusty library books they ordered, or consult with Egyptologists who also read the same crusty library books.

Honestly! Would a fringe book be published 20 years ago?

Yes. Of course the answer is Yes, but certainly we were governed by conventional views.

We thought the pyramids were built slaves until 2002, but we now know there were teams of well fed/paid artisans with access to tons of baked goods, meat, family housing, and medical care that included amputations.

People were taught Copper hammers and Chizels were the only tools available. We now know they had Drills, Circular saws over 9 feet in diameter, ropes, pulleys, and had advanced maths from Sumerians, etc.

Egypt is known to have had a University of sorts, and scholars of the world flocked to Egypt to learn. Have you ever heard of a Platonic relationship? Well that term comes from one of the earliest known philosophers Plato. Plato frequently mentioned Egypt in his writings and had studied at their "Mystery Schools" for 13 years. Even Jesus was known to have been in Egypt and many think he was just teaching Law of Attraction type stuff he had learned in Egypt.

Jesus never professed to cure anybody. He always said it was their own faith and belief which worked miracles as Law of Attraction Practitioners do today.

I could open a Tony Robbins CD bookset and find similar advice.

    "Ask and you shall receive"
"If you have faith as small as a seed you can say to this mountain move, and it will move."

Heck I'll just link to like minded sites...
    http://www.psitek.net/pages/PsiTek-jesus-taught-it-too-18.html#gsc.tab=0
The gist of it is he may have learned this subject while in Egypt as Law of Attraction has roots dating this far back.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_into_Egypt

For any non religious types here I will explain that a King (Herod) wanted to kill male infants in the region so Mary and Joseph took Jesus to live in Egypt.

So Jesus was in Egypt, and did teach what was taught at Egypts "school".

Who else do we know attended such a University?
Yes. Pythagoras knew Plato and shared the belief
    from wikipedia

    Influence

    Influence on Plato
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pythagoras

It is believed Pythagoras attended the Schools of Egypt in his youth as well, although many sources will just say things like,
    wikipedia
The point is Egypt kept the worlds biggest and best Library...
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Library_of_Alexandria
and housed the best schools of the Era.

Now the Pyramids are odd. Egyptologists claim that was built as a tomb. It is as good a guess as any right?

But there are also many inconsistencies with what Egyptology teach, and what the facts really are.

The pyramids were as old to king Tut as the greek ruins are to us now. They were thousands of years old.

There is a lot of evidence of tooling in and around the Giza Plateau.

I could link hundreds of objects at this point, but feel free to research this yourself.

    Now

    THE PYRAMIDS....

Let me talk about Christopher Dunn..

    wikipedia..
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Dunn
Dunn was born in 1946 in Manchester, England. He worked at Mather & Platt at their Newton Heath plant where he served an apprenticeship and subsequently became a journeyman machinist. In 1969 Dunn emigrated to the United States after being recruited by the Altamil Corporation to work at aerospace manufacturing company, Twigg Industries, in Martinsville, Indiana. While employed as a toolmaker at Rettig Engineering in Indianapolis, Dunn became involved in the development and implementation of high powered lasers for processing gas-turbine and aerospace parts and assemblies. He was the manager of Laser Robotics Machining, a contract job-shop which served the aerospace industry. In 1986 he was recruited by gas turbine/aerospace manufacturing company, Danville Metal Stamping, where he has worked in the position of Project Engineer, Laser Operations Manager and Human Resource Manager.
He is a master craftsman and skilled machinist. Dunn lives with his wife Jeanne and children in Danville, Illinois.[3][4]

Christopher Dunn makes a great living as an Aerospace Engineer. His interest and books on The Pyramids were only a hobby for him as he makes quite an excellent living at his real job. He has published several books on the pyramids, but as a hobby.

He studied the Pyramids and has some very interesting observations.

NOTE: IF YOU ARE KEEN ON PYRAMIDS THEN THIS 8 PART VIDEO SERIES IS THE BEST I HAVE FOUND TO DATE ALTHOUGH I AM STARTING HER AT VIDEO 4 AS IT DISCUSSES THE PYRAMID AS A POSSIBLE MECHANISM.

IF you are a skeptic it is your loss as this series of videos is fascinating.

There are many things pyramidsthat don't agree with Egyptology.

For example (This is in videos)...

The kings chamber rocks moved an inch as if an explosion had occurred. Egyptologists say an Earthquake must have moved them, yet the tunnel going underneath pyramid was straight within the thickness of a thumbnail all the way from outside to inside. Why would an Earthquake not have affected this?

Th e tools they say cut that tunnel into the limestone does not fit the time frame of the pyramids. It is okay to assume they used primitive tools, but how can a tunnel that long be dug so accurately in the time allotted for this. You can say 1000 men pulled a rock, but try explaining that type of manpower to the one guy who could fit in the narrow tunnel with his copper mallet.

Have a look at the descending passage..

    Anyways...

I agree this is fringe, but it is slightly arrogant to assume Egyptologists are correct. They were recently proven wrong about the slaves, so what makes their ideas so compelling.

The pyramids are amazingly complex. Every shaft and room must be planned for as each layer was built.

EGYPTOLOGISTS CALL ONE ROOM AQUEENS CHAMBER AND YET ACCORDING TO EGYPTOLOGISTS THE QUEEN HAD HER OWN PYRAMID.

Yes. Fringe... I agree, but those videos are compelling. Here is entire series for any interested.

So what king of the world Moderator is deciding what constitutes science? It is odd that threads like "How does the body make fart sounds", and The current, "Why can man not have sex with animals" are considered scientific, yet as soon as something goes against a high school textbook it is discounted. It's ignorance.

I know my monicker says ,"Finally we know everything", but it was meant to be a bit of sarcasm as I believe we have much to learn including some bits of forgotten knowledge from our ancestors.

Good work, kwhilborn. The mystery of the pyramids is a topic that can't seem to be put to rest. There is more to uncover, and you have brought the alternative views forward again for discussion. Too bad that the scientific environment has been made more difficult by the political unrest. Let's hope the waiting secrets are discovered before any remaining evidence is lost.

In todays day and age I think it would be practical and unobtrusive to drill or laser tiny holes throughout the structure and explore with micro cameras.

i.e. We know the Internal ramp theory is the most likely method of building these as an external ramp would require more stones than the pyramids themselves. We could target these interior tunnels if they were not filled in. We know from study where they are positioned. There is also another "Door" on the opposite tunnel in queens chamber.

Anyways that is another topic, for another time.
