NEW YORK (AP) - The Dow Jones industrial average has fallen below 7,000 Monday for the first time in more than 11 years as investors grow even more pessimistic about the health of banks, and in turn the economy.

We could engineer a sharp rise, but it wouldn't be sustainable. Wall street reacts to short term gain more than long term stability.

The American Dollar is going to sink no matter what. Its a credit based economy that is catching up with Karma.

Hold on to the life jacket The Obama , ladies and gentlemen and watch out for that tidal wave called Medicare and Social Security.

If you listen carefully, The Obama may just keep you afloat.

I don't think Buffalo cares particularly about other economic systems.

But the greatest impact will be to the USD. Its lost its credibility as a global currency.

This will probably change the face of international finance as we know it.

The U.S. Dollar isn't the only currency in trouble, the Euro isn't heathy either.

Euro falls against dollar to $1.2582
Associated Press | 13 hours, 10 minutes ago

The euro fell against the dollar Monday as investors anticipated an interest rate cut from the European Central Bank later this week.

Observers anticipate the ECB will cut its benchmark interest rate to 1.5 percent from 2 percent this Thursday.

Lower interest rates can drive investors from a currency as they seek higher returns elsewhere.

The euro's slip also came in the wake of a meeting of European leaders in Brussels, where they rejected a broad-scale bailout for eastern European economies, suggesting that additional aid be given to struggling nations only on a case-by-case basis.

It's easy enough to look up.

The Chinese and Japanese are holding the Fed Treasury notes.

Although I wonder how worthless the real value of those notes is now

First the current government is throwing billions at bankrupt companies that is not their fault it is not working when the whole system is sick.

Second, your guy fucked it up for 8 years doing nothing*, and you expect the new guy to fix it in 1 month???

*Of course I am exaggerating because W. did lots of good things like 2 wars to contribute to the decline

    P.S.: How is your 401 K doing?

Apparently some republicans believe we all think "THE OBAMA" is some kind of love child between jesus and superman. I question if Jesus or superman could fix these things let alone Obama. Mainly we believe that under obama things are not going to be as bad as under mccain (god forbid Palin), but we are still in for a world of hurt. Think of obama as human shild trying to stop a metal storm of bullets, sure he going to stop some but there will be enough that get though to riddle us like swiss cheese. Now obama is a relatively trim man with strong collagen, while mccain with is prehistoric age: well the bullets are going to go through him far more easily, but Palin: FUCK! she would just duck out of the way! Biden is not worth considering as obama is far less likely to die than Mccain.

Just watch THE Obama, things are going to get a lot worse, and just what do you call bad?

On Jan, 21 the day after Inauguration Day, the DOW stood at 8228, today Mar, 3, the Dow is at 6763, a 1465 point drop in 39 days that is a 18% drop in value.

And Guess What?, it isn't done yet, with the next announcement of more money going to the supposed bail out, we are going to see another 100 to 300 point drop.

THE Obama speaks and Wall Street Listens, and gets Diarrhea.

If you care to notice every time THE Obama announces another part of the Bail Out, or passage of another plan, Wall Street takes a dump.

You can only put so so much bad paper before it kills the market, and the Democrats with their Regulation made it so the Banks had to put that paper out or face Federal action for Discrimination in mortgage lending Action.
