I am not quite certain if I should post this here or in Arts. Anyway, has anyone read The Engines of God by Jack McDevitt?

If you have what are your thoughts on the book. I am in the middle of it and it seems rather good. About an archeologial dig, the members who are performing a last minute dig on a moon soon to be terraformed, (they are in the last hours before ice asteriods start increasing the water level of the moon and nuclear bombs melt the ice caps) and a couple of alien races. One, called the Monument Makers, have left unexplained artifacts throughout the galaxy, in areas of solitude.

Woven throughout the book are references of world population pressures, technological wonders of the future, and FTL travel. Most interesting, if you are in to such...
