Holy. Fucking. Shit. I caught the 6am show with my friends before work... it's not a perfect movie. But it's as close to perfect as it can get. My mind is still blown at what a great viewing experience it was.
The best thing about it is that it's not just a Batman film. Begins was a really good Batman film but an ok film in general. But DK, it's good as both a Batman story and a stand alone movie.
Anyone seen "Batman: The Movie" from 1966? It's such an idiotic movie, totally cheesy (on purpose), but really hilarious. I recommend it to anyone who has not seen it... Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman_(1966_film)
How's that? If I can download it from a site that I pay for through my ISP then I've in essence "paid" to see it haven't I?
i wish it had been called dark night, or dark nite. that would have sounded better, because batman is not knight.
Because it's such a difference on the big screen, especially in an Imax theater. C'mon cosmic, you have to see this one in theatres... Batman has been known as the Dark Knight for a long long time. In fact Frank Miller's famous graphic novel is called 'The Dark Knight Returns.'
I know I have not seen the film but how can a film any film no matter how good be considered the best film ever when its about a superhero? Can it educate you? Can it draw you in emotionally? Can you really care?
Nice, it's already broken the records for biggest midnight showing and biggest single day opening. I really really hope this movie goes on to to do even better, it deserves it. http://www.deadlinehollywooddaily.com/dark-knight-humongous-60m-friday/ Alex: The answer to your question is yes, that's what makes this film so good.
