Why can't you follow your own advice for a change? All you do is set conclusions and then look for evidence/logic to support them after you've already decided, which is exactly the opposite of how one is supposed to approach discussions in a scientific environment. You want everyone to quit harping on your flag, but you won't lift a damn finger to prove that most of the people waving it aren't using it as a cry for racial inequality. "Southern pride" my ass, it's a hate symbol and everyone knows it, the KKK wouldn't use it if they thought it had neutral connotations- unlike the US flag, it doesn't represent a country that they actually live in.

I was referring to a race actually, the "Human" race. It's filled with idiots and what's interesting is that it doesn't matter what color their skin, it's all about how they think, or in your case, how they don't.

    imho
a flag is just a rag with some decoration on it.
in and of itself it is meaningless.

That's fine, but your humble opinion isn't shared by a vast proportion of Americans who find the flag deeply offensive, and another vast proportion who proudly wave it around to promote racial hatred and fear, which both greatly outnumber the proportion of Americans who express egalitarian values while displaying it as a symbol of their pride in whatever. You can have it hanging up all over the interior of your home if you want, you don't need to go waving it around in public any more than you need to have a dick and scrotum printed on your shirt when you go out for a neighbourhood stroll.

    No, it doesn't.
Compare the treatment of John Walker Lindh with that of the police officers who not only threaten American black people with violence and death but in many cases carry the threats out, for example. https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/gettyimages-755462-e1553099144263.jpg
And John Walker never himself killed - or even himself threatened - any US citizens we know of. He joined a team of bad guys, a team that had bad apples in it, a violent pack of thugs known for their conservative values and fundie religion, that had been at least partly funded and supported by his own government not too long ago. He wasn't even in the US when he did that.

Any police officer in a major American city with a high blue-on-black violence rate is probably - on the evidence we have - more guilty of terrorism against Americans than John Walker Lindh.
The supervising bureaucrats of the police forces of most American cities routinely ignore anything that hasn't been photographed or otherwise made publicly evident and embarrassing - and always they try, sometimes succeeding, to ignore even that stuff.

Perhaps someone can fill in a blank spot on the canvas of intelligent display in this matter: I have never heard of a police officer in the US arrested and convicted and jailed for beating on black people without strong publicly available evidence and politically significant public pressure from outside the police department being involved. Statistically, as intelligence (via Bayes Theorem and the phone camera advent) informs us, there should have been hundreds, maybe thousands, of such events in recent decades.

So are all labels, symbols, words, etc. Meaning derives from context.

In the context of American society, it means (among other things) that the displayer is more openly and violently a racial bigot than the average American.

(It also means the displayer is more likely to vote Republican, have no liberal arts education past high school, refuse to take ordinary precautions against contagious disease, and incorporate into their worldview a large number of falsehoods coincident with and identical to the falsehoods promulgated by rightwing corporate media such as Facebook and Fox News and Clear Channel/IHeartMedia.)

In your case, it's denial of the eye of the beholder stuff - even when those eyes are your own.
For people who need to deny their complicity in an evil serious enough to threaten their entire worldview, any excuse will do.

But the more bizarre and fantasy-addled the excuse (and publicly pretending the Confederate flag is not a symbol of racism is about two steps from a rubber room) the more childish the denial of complicity becomes.

The primary affect of the American rightwing corporate media victim is not stupidity. It's immaturity. Intelligence is not the factor - there are some very intelligent kids in America's junior high schools. But one is supposed to grow up.

These are adult men, these people running around spouting playground level Breitbart memes and chuckleheaded Russian bot memes and ridiculous revisions of history and dog-ate-my-homework explanations for not recognizing common physical realities. These are the men who captain industry and run governments taking the nickels over the dimes because they are bigger.

The Dixie Chicks were right: the white male American "conservative" is an embarrassment.
(And until they deliver the public apology they owe the Dixie Chicks, an offensive one).

You didn't answer the question. If you claim white battle flag wavers must be racist and black ones are not, that is racism. You should at least have the nerve to either admit or deny that.

Is there a picture of a "Black" battle flag that flies anywhere in the US? Describe that "black battle flag" please.

Displaying a sign "Black lives matter" is not exactly like waving the "Confederate" battle flag......

Wow, your reading comprehension is dismal. Black (as in a black person) battle flag waver. There's no such thing as a black battle flag in your ignorant sense.

There are black people who fly the Confederate flag, as many pictures I've posted show. The question is are they also racist for doing so, just like people here claim all whites who do are? If not, that's racist, as it presumes one race worse than another, solely based on the color of their skin.

If you think your comfort should restrict the freedoms of others, you're a fascist.

You can pay Aunt Jemima to wave a flag for you, and you can find a few black dupes waving just about any flag you want for practically any reason, that doesn't prove anything. You still haven't shown us one single group of white "Southern pride" people confronting racists about much of anything let alone their usage of the Confederate flag.

Yes and if I walk around with a dripping dick and balls on my shirt, it's up to others how they wish to interpret it, not my problem; they'd probably get just as offended if it was a puppy. It seems America is a society that bans stuff from public display when it justifiably offends enough people, so you should take your guns and go yell at the KKK for giving your flag a bad reputation and deliberately upsetting enough people to get it banned.

So do you agree women should be free to decide whether to have an abortion?
