The cheaper one is execution for the criminal will not live that long to have the taxpayers pay their upkeep for 30 to 60 years or more. Imagine all the hospital expenses, medicines, security guards pay and other things that must be paid for if those criminals are given life sentences. Speaking of barbarity, recently in Iran there was the public hanging of a kidnapper and rapist. I think only murder deserves the death penalty, not other crimes. In Southeast Asia you can be executed for drug smuggling. In Saudi Arabia this man who hacked his friend in the back was gonna get a surgical procedure to paralyse him. An eye for an eye. I think it's actually a better form of punishment than a prison sentence.
Today they're saying that Dzjochar has revealed that they originally intended to do a suicide bombing on the 4th of July, but changed their plans because the bombs were ready earlier. The placement of the bombs seems random, they were driving around the city and decided to place them at the finish line and then detonated them from a safe distance with cellphones.
