    Hello!

I just recently partitioned my hdd so I can have a copy of Windows XP and Mandriva Linux 2006, and I've been playing around with Linux.

The only thing I can't seem to get right is the system clock. I know how and where to set it, and I've got it set for my time zone (and it's syncronized with a remote time server using NTP, but my clock still runs fast (for instance, I set it to 9:39 according to my watch and every other clock in the house. since then my computer's clock says 9:49 while it's actually 9:44 on my home clocks).

It seems it's running twice as fast as a normal clock. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

    Nevermind....

I had to add "noapic nolapic notsc" to the lilo.cnfg file in the /etc directory, after each append line.

I realize that may not make sense, but I found it by googling like mad. Well, there it is.
