If you'll notice that particular Romulan ship is mostly air. Still impressive though.

True it is mostly an open design however, still pretty close to a SD in size.

True but size is hardly everything. if stat books are to be believed the Romulan ship in question has roughly twice the firepower of the Enterprise-D who's closest match in Star Wars is Slave I. Hardly auspicious.

...if you drown it you're shot one horse.

Mars, I have concievably tried to respond to every one of your serious posts, but to no avail. Very well. I have defeated you by your own standards, that ignoring an argument is equal to agreeing with it and therefore, you have agreed with me that Star Wars is superior. You have ignored me from your very entrance into this thread, indicating that you must fear my intellectual power or somesuch. Therefore, I concede to you that you are indeed the most ignorant person I have ever had the displeasure of debating.

It is kind of sad really. Mars gives a bad name to Star Trek and Trekkies everywhere. Now, every time I hear, "Live long and prosper," or, "Beam me up, Scottie," I will no doubt remember my hatred for you. Have a nice life, petulant child.

me give up?thats funny, you run away and im the one giving up?

not one of you has posted ONE scrap of technical information, not one quote from a book or movie, not one link to a web site ,NOTHING.

you have not posted any rebuttle,no counter points,no CORRECT information[even thou you claim im wrong but wont post any counter information].

heres YOUR position in a nutshell....

humanoids with small ships cant be assmilated[your stupidest argument so far]

troopers are unstoppable [even thou cave men could kill them ,no problem]

TL bolts are 500000GT with 500000000000km range

hyperdrive takes seconds to cross the galaxy[even thou it takes hours/days to cross a charted quad]

ST cant make black holes[even thou they use them for power]

SW wins no matter how outnumbered and outgunned they are

instant transport is slower then vehicles

factories a galaxy away are faster at manufacturing then replicaters

not being able to attack at FTL means SW wins automaticly

running away means you win an argument

    thats your position .

yeah, your not retarded pouting children who dont know how to debate.

So how many people have an intelligent opinion of Imperial Shuttles versus Runabouts. Both are pretty fast, heavily armed, and shielded. Which one would you rather fly?

Personally, a runabout seems closer to a combat shuttle than the Lamba...thought the Lamba is heavily armed, it still needs plently of escorts, especially when carrying the tippy-top brass of the Empire, i.e Vader, Palpy, Moffs, etc. I haven't seen many, if any, nesisarry fighter escort around runabouts in ST...though that may be a product of the Federation not really having starfighters. I'd go with Lambda Shuttle for sheer coolness, but trek's runabout is a pretty good second choice.

See, Mars, we can a rational, calm, debate about SW v.s ST, if we break it down to individual pieces and then do so.

    Again:
Imperator II Star Destroyer v.s Enterprize D.
Obviously, due to more powerful shielding, larger and faster-firing guns, and more powerful engines, plus sheer size and armor, the ISD2 will win one-on-one. However, if you a fleet of Enterprizes v.s a single ISD2, you'd probably have a very different outcome.

I'd like to point out how Episode III demonstrates the Jedis' absolute suck at intrigue and government.

They had a massive conspiracy afoot, and not even Yoda had a clue.

    House Harkonnen would pwn them.

I believe the Jedi were supposed to "Protect and Serve," not run the gorvernment. I think the justification for them being exterminated was they were "Trying to take over the republic." When you send one in as a diplomat, as seen in the movies, isnt it more of a show of force? "We have jedi, give up or they slice you up" type of argument?

Using your same evidence, wouldnt Palpatine give House Harkonnen a run for their money? He hid a SSD in the middle of Coruscant, a planet with billions of inhabitants, and every landmass covered with buildings.

Lamda. They look cooler, hyperspace/navicomp, ST shields, folding wings, repulosors, The Emperor rode in one..

A word about the escort. It may just be for show, Empires (roman, alex, etc) are known for their extravegant shows of wealth/power, so why not have an excort of TIEs?

I would take an ISD 2 over a Soveriegn class anyday. Hell, I'd take it over three Soveriegns. You can take over a whole world with an ISD 2 compliment.

Alright Millenium Falcon versus the Defiant. Even with the Defiant being a warship and the Falcon as a frieghter it is still a fair match for maneuvering capabilities. Firepower might be a match was well as I think the Defiant had more guns, but no 360 degree weaponry.
