I think it is a bit different in the movie, but I like that undercurrent of irony about androids and the nature of sentience (sp?) I see running through all of the Star Wars movies. Obi-Wan to Dexter Jettster: "...if droids could think, we wouldn't be here, would we?"

I little note on that one. If you watch Jenga Fet carefully as he boards Slave I after his fight with Obi-wan in AOTC, you will see that he hits his head on the top of the hatch. Since the Storm Troopers are all clones of Jenga Fet, this is a passed-on trait.
False. Storm Troopers are not all clones of Jenga Fett. The clones used int he clone wars are. If you read the books, which are all sanctioned by George Lucas and company, you see that there are Storm Tropper training, recruitment, and indoctrination camps. In Star Wars : A New Hope, they speak of going to an academy, which trains pilots. All the Pilots in AOTC were clones as well, but thats because that was the clone army. Storm Troopers later used by the emperor were trained from the population, not cloned.
did you know that the red guards are clones of jedi? they are all force sesitive in the last 3 movies
well in the books they talk about all the empores jedi fighters mara talks about them she implies that he has jedi solders not like her, full jedi worriers and the stormtroopers are afraid of the red "elite" guard so yes its a guess but as i cant find his jedi anywhere else? *shrugs*
Good point. She does, doesn't she? But, in "Shadows of the empire" Xizor isn't afraid of them at all, and he is privy to most all of the emperors information. The don't show anything other then inhuman abilities to stand still. Maybe they are, I havn't seen anything to the contrary

If you have the DVD, watch it with the running commentary by Lucas. He points out Jenga Fet bumping his head, and makes the connection with the Stormtrooper in ANH. Just because the books are sanctioned, it doesn't make them canon for the Star Wars universe.

easy they are running out of clones thats the link in the thorn books it shows you ONE cloning factory so they couldnt make the clones to do everything hence the impirial navy isnt clones and hence the fighter pilots arnt only SOME of the crack troops are

yes well i read it a while ago but no. They imply that there arnt anymore i mean they would be on all the worlds the rebles took but they are no where are they? the imp flight acadamy was on corrisnt, as was all the militry head quarters as its the most heavly defended you would assume there would be at least ONE factory there but these not so why not?
