Star Trek vs. Star Wars

Some of the aspects that make SWs more fun to watch than ST occasionally are how unrealistically big those ships are! Its fun to watch them blow to pieces!
When they do blow to pieces though, it's like a video game, when the SWs ship gets hit too many times in one area, instead of just that piece coming off, the whole ship just incinerates.

Isn't Star Wars in the past and Star Trek in the future? Isn't the future better/more advanced than the past?

Star Wars is a completely different galaxy, some of thier technology is primitive, some advanced. In Star Trek, it is almost all advanced. Except the foam controls used in TOS.

yes Star Wars is set in the past but its technology is more advanced than Star Trek's will ever be

 

and like all advanced civilizations (Mayans, Romans, Egyptians) it has collapsed and now comes to battle with Star Trek with a stick.
Future has kicked the crap outta past.

 

Afther all those billions of years, i bet allmost every race in StarWars would be evolved in something higher than Startrek could even dream off. Hell they make even the Q look retarded.

 

If so, why?

 

We don't just know that they've killed each other off...

Uuh, didn't the Q start a civil war in "voyager" just because one of them wouldn't walk in line and wanted a baby with Janeway ?
If you can uptain Q weapons you can kill them.
What i can't get in that episode is that the Q have been here forever. yet making a baby is a 1 second's work. What's the fun in that.

Because we don't know what race the Q evolved from they can easely be from any Starwars race. Hell the power of Q can even be nothing more than a advanced force. (joke)

 

That isn't true. Can any old jedi just snap their fingers and practiclay anything happen? And SW would have no way of obtaining Q weapons.

 

Have you ever seen how pathetic SW shields are? Solo could just land on their hull behind their bridge and they didn't notice. They've got better luck with their eyes than their sensors.:bugeye:

Yes, but how would any non-Q get a hold of a Q weapon, seeing that if they were at use at the time, there would be a war. And if there was a war you probably would be killed by the continuem "soldiers". Seeing that Q probably wouldn't let you out of the continuem with one because he is your only means of escape.

 

as far as I'm concerned, Q is cheating. Q is a great big cheat in the world of sci fi.
