    Japan launched a 20 m wide solar sail probe 2 months ago and the spacecraft is functioning well and accelerating by sunlight alone.

    Solar sails could provide a infinite fueled means traveling through the solar system, based on the success of this one a larger 50 m wide solar sail will be launched later this decade bound ultimately for Jupiter.
