Question(s) 1st--Anyone here(on the forum) done this? if so define process? (more questions will likely follow responses?)
You have about a week, according to this guy: http://tucson.com/business/national...cle_e30ba80e-4a7b-563f-99c6-f7c008939e5b.html
Here's the bottom line. First high earning spouse files and suspends payments then other spouse files and restricts to spousal benefits only, and gets 1/2 of what high earning spouse would get while benefits(for each) grow at about 8% per year. SSA calls this "free spousal" benefits. (still learning)
The loophole is plugged at the end of this week, according to all sources. And the online directions for suspending payments apparently befuddle most people.
