Been interesting there lately. Feels like before the American Revolution or something, people itching to start a technological libertarian state. Lots of stuff on the gift economy, either directly (pleas to fund blender, and effort to buy the rights to a 3d program and make it open source) or indirectly (every other article is on "information wants to be free"). If anyone here follows that site much, don't you think they are getting quite hypocritical if they are taking ads? Interesting to see big flashing banner ads on a story about replaytv being sued for skipping ads. I wonder if they could go on a donation basis to fund it as sciforums.com is. As it is now, I'd love to see a slashdot story, "DMCA used against anyone hosting a program that allows you to block ads on slashdot."
