i will force you to respect me by bullying you into listening to me
because that is what freedom liberty and free speech is all about
demanding others comply with your Fascist desires to be heard
    ...

False concepts of respect couched in dogma laden with cultural bigotry is not respect
it is group compliance bully culture used as a litigious self victimization process of the subconscious narcissist asserting control over others.

Respect is not a meaningless gesture of social behavior
simply by listening does not create a better outcome

couching the outcome by codafying it into something that can then be swapped out as "all they wanted was someone to listen to them"
provides a no win win to the liar & the fascist

the act of Respect is placing the welfare of the person ahead of your own or equal to it.

False respect played out by narcissists & manipulators are all about pretend body language gestures which are demanded to represent moral value without needing any productive outcome.
they support the ego of the fascist

    Indeed

Yet the elderly still have experiences which are worth consideration .

For my self , a retirement plan from a very early age . Is wise .

the opposite and you must define how wrong i must be
that is why you need to sit on the other side

    thats your problem not mine.
attaching your own baggage to the issue and then seeking to slide it underneath my meaning doesnt fool me or gain my compliance.

what you are doing is telling me all about your personal fear.

    thats ok
    thats fairly average

in spite of what i say
the problem is the same as it was to begin with
    ...
statement by omission as a direct counter point.

what is it that has been defined as not worth consideration ?

repeating the words "why" in response does not change the facts.

and yet maybe i am right after all...

does respect have to be earned ?
can you show respect by doing nothing ?
by me doing nothing do i show others how i have earned respect ?
to give something worth nothing to prove how much i value you

the fallacy is the act of inflicting others with my emotions to force them to act as i want to then label that act as my need for others to respect me.

thus... anyone i have never met before and who also has never earnt my respect should not get any respect ?

can i show disrespect by doing nothing ?
is "doing nothing" a position to counter entropy of the human condition ?
(American morality around mental health services & unemployment benefits & social services)

if an elderly American is a customer of a care-home, why should i work for that old person for free ?
they should pay me if they want me to show them respect.
    capitalism !
no such thing as a free trade respect lunch

i waited for you to edit your reply, but it looks like your clutching at straws because you wish to force a no change position.
you do not understand so you claim it to be false...(is that logical?)

No I simply don't understand both statements .

So lets start with your first statement , above , in this post .

What does it actually mean ?

Given that it is your statement , you understand what you stated . Therefore you can give meaning to your statement .

    Agreed .

Capitalism , the goodness it has , the potential it has , has been forgotten .

    pay-per-respect

red letter respect under the bed ...

no one should own any ... disrespect

how do leaders & politicians show respect for the citizens ?

you made a similar comment some years ago.
    ...

you can not simply attach a word that has specific cultural meaning to a sense of implied moral code without defining the value of the morality.

ideology is most often defined in such a manner to attempt to divide ideology from morality when it is the ideology that is driving the moral dictatorship.

i was hoping you might have a different response(its not a thing, its just me being an idealist).

morality is something that does not interest many people as a subject, though many expect to have some form of moral compliance govern how others interact with them.
having a discussion with people about what and how morals work and how they are comprised is vastly more difficult as most do not think very deeply about what they have been indoctrinated with and so lack free will to choose morality.

    thus
    around we come... to"Respect"
Respect means nothing unless it is well defined inside an ideological frame work.
That ideology requires morals to stand it up with and create its walls and hallways.

most common capitalists[most common people] are hypocrites.
they do not admit that unless really put to task about it, then fall over in self analyses and then claim victim status and run off like a small child(which they are intellectually).
(my typing is quite poor today... still checking grammar and typos... i think that's it though im still reading & revising for others comprehension)

... i do not wish to intellectually hijack the thread by asserting a moral debate above and beyond those who might otherwise participate..
so in kind(& because i was pondering it)

What is the currency of Respect ?

what stuff moves to and fro to give mass to the containment of "Respect"

if as some claim it must be earnt, how is that currency of respect held to be shown to have value to others ?

is fear a currency or respect ?(playing to the audience)

When you look at one person, then look at another, how do you decide which one should be respected ?
    their age ?
their appearance of potential risk to yourself ?
    their wealth ?

is "Respect" an interactive trading of human values ?
    like a relationship ?
can you have a relationship with someone you dont know ?
if they have nothing you want to take off them, do you decide they should not be respected ?

if as many americans claim, respect must be earnt, how do you know when someone has earnt respect ?
    or
    in fact ...
    ta daa...
is this the LIE ! ... indeed ! this is the lie
because the earning is of only a thing that is valued by the person making the claim to find something they want to take.

    plot twist !

subconscious narcissistic defense of a moral hypocrisy

    lol

    https://www.livescience.com/22120-eyes-reveal-sexual-orientation.html

human genetic memory defines programed responses to pupil size based on animal predatory types.
eye pupil size shape and distance define genetic programmed processes that are attached to core drivers.
be those sex/mating or fear/fight or flight or parenting/nurture/defense/attack or health ... blood shot eyes = infection of fatal disease etc...
