    IQ doesn't mean anything unless you put it to good use, and that is coming from a man with a high certified IQ

    Some online IQ tests wildly over-estimate IQ. In fact, probably most of them do, judging by my own experience.

    Here's the thing about Mensa: the people that run it aren't stupid. So, the first thing they'll do when you say you want to join is that they'll ask you to pay them. After all, they don't need you; you're asking to join their club. So, they figure you can pay for the privilege.

    They will send you their own IQ test after you have sent them some money. It will be harder than the online ones, and you won't score 170, or even 150, I guarantee it. If you don't score at least 130, your money will have been wasted, but you'll be a little wiser for the experience. If you do happen to score 130 or greater, you're in. Then you just have to keep paying the regular membership fees.

    I encourage you to spend the money to find out the truth.

    Judging from your posts to sciforums so far, I think you're of about average intelligence. I'd guess your IQ would be about 100-110.

    :shrug: Meh, who can say over the internet? And I'm nowhere near being certed to diagnose yet anyway.

    IQ tests were originally designed to identify mental retardation. Beyond that, they're not especially useful, except as something to boast about. You know, like, "I've taken a variety of online IQ tests, and the results so far range from 150 to 170."

    I will speculate that maps to 90-110 for a real test (based on personal experience).

    Why?

    The #1 characteristic of IQ is problem solving. Consider typing "Mensa" into your preferred search engine.

    No, you will pay Mensa.

    If you are looking for enterntainment, conisder playing a video game.

    Definitely agree with the last 3 letters in that sentence.

    I think you want to feel special and you are looking for attention under the guise of "being a genuis". While I can't say for certain how smart you actually may be, I can say that your social intellect is so low that reading your intentions is about as challenging as looking at a kindergarten picture book.
