China has now gamified obedience to the State and the party through the use of Sesame Credit, which is "a score for how good a citizen you are. The owners of China’s largest social networks have partnered with the government to create something akin to the U.S. credit score — but, instead of measuring how regularly you pay your bills, it measures how obediently you follow the party line."
Citizens may still choose whether or not they wish to opt-in, at least until 2020, when the program becomes mandatory.

In a few years, every country will have that. (Or similar systems). It's too tempting for the ones on power, and the reason "We do it for the safety of our people" is too hard to counter. See all the freedom-limiting anti-terror laws even in countries which were known for rating freedom very highly some decades ago.
