Yes, us Brits eventually paid our lend/ lease off to the USA.
But Stalin wasn't charged anything for help from the UK or the USA.
And after the war he kept it as secret as possible from his own population that we were even on the same side.

Not a chance, or at least not without a much longer fight.

Third actually. We only called it "Second Front" because it was OUR second front, third for Germany: Europe/ Russia/ Africa.

The North African campaign finished two whole years (all but one month) after Germany invaded Russia...

Gung-ho attitude mostly, in the early days, coupled with a fallacious belief in their own superiority.

Nope, it wasn't so much the training as lack of experience, and most of the troops had been led to believe they were worth three or four German troops each.
The fact was that German troops had enough combat experience and a flexibility of command structure that the ratio was 2:1 or more the other way round - throughout the war in general.
    It led to considerable losses.

    My emphasis.
They lack training? With a budget of twelve billion dollars?

    Can you prove it?
Because of different operational and tactical doctrines. The Americans had superior firepower in nearly all cases and used that rather than sneak about. Which they were fully capable of doing when circumstance required it. MACV/ SOG being just one example.
Friendly fire is NOT the norm.
Because they don't operate the way you think they should?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not a huge fan of the "spams", I've heard enough cock-up stories (on both sides, by both sides, UK and USA).
But when they decide to get the job done, politics permitting, they're damned effective.

Bliar (and any UK government) is far, far behind the USA on publicity.
You won't remember the Falklands, the most televised war we ever had, and very little real stuff was said, good or bad.
Bad stuff is usually kept to a court of enquiry - like the time a Challenger tank hit another one and injured some of the crew. Or the Challenger that shot up a Warrior MICV? Not much in the news about that was there?
