well, if the eliminate the cesspool and just delete shit, that is not a huge loss. it will get rid of some of the funny threads, but no major loss.

also, I would like to thank Dave for the site.

If I would own Sciforums I would change the colour scheme to brown letters on yellow background (excrement on my banana).

Can we all sign a bloodpact right now, so if things go rotten, we'll pack up our bags and head elsewhere?

I nominate invert to lead us.

    "Zoran" "zox"

Sounds like an alien overlord to me. All hail ZOX! Leader of the Zoranthian alliance!

Meanwhile, back on zithrom (in the zorfil system), homeworld of zox, zox quietly analyzes the potential of his newfound "purchase" as a weapon of conquest...

we all know where to go if sciforums goes down the tubes, no its no big worry, especially since none of the trolls know about it.

I'm disappointed that Zox hasn't responded to any questions about his intents, purposes, methods, etc...

I'm also disturbed by thread deletions beginning already.

    Things bode ill, it seems.

I wonder why they would even buy the place if they don't like the content?
    Just looking at numbers?

As to selling it to someone with the resources to keep it running. I could have done that in my sleep. I imagine that a good deal of money changed hands.

I'm to disturbed at the moment to say farewells to Porfiry (who has no time anyway so shouldn't mind the disrespect) nor welcome our insect overlords.

I'll wait and see what changes the wind brings.

    I think it's bullshit though.

And as to following me, we'll have to see. If things go bad, we'll figure something out. One thing for sure, that 'other place' is not an option. It is not a replacement in even the weakest sense of the term.

not at the moment, but it would be at least a refugee camp where we could keep in touch while we work something else out.

I would rather follow James R, I think he is the person I would most hate to part from. thats probably because he is primarily interested in science and tech, and not so much about the chit-chat.

    Yeah.
But James R's lead would most likely follow that of the corporate desire.
    That is, nicey nicey.
James R is a nicey nicey.

    But, that's the thing.
Part of this forum. A large part. Is the less flamboyant and more down-to-Earth.
The physics guys. The math guys.
It's mostly the philosophical who tend to get rowdy here.

There's a... meshing of these various methods at work here.
And one which would likely not take place in a flight to a new forum.

I too would hate to part with James R.
Politically correct as he might be, he is a bastion of physics lore.

    Sigh.
This whole thing sucks major ass.

perhaps we should make a chain pm with people's emails so we can keep in touch if people split. I know that has been proposed before, but I don't have a list anymore.
