I think I have one person on ignore, but I don't recall hearing from him since before I became a moderator. Longer-standing members might guess who that poster is, although at the same time, it's probably best to not invoke that memory.
Although some of you who have been around for only a couple of years might enjoy a cruise through the old Exosci archive, especially around the religion forum. I keep meaning to mention it; people seem rather oversensitive these days, yet simultaneously more offensive. Back in the day, the assholes could take the same shit they dished. Not so, anymore.
I don't put people on ignore these days, and if that one old poster ever shows up again, I'll have to take him off the list.
Hmm ... maybe it's the war. After the war started, we got a lot of propaganda, and that's when the bannings picked up pace. And people have gotten more and more sensitive ever since. Strange that the old idiots I wished were gone are the preferable option.
Can you see this? ----->:bawl:
The person who it is knows.

i dont ignore people very often but i do have one person on my ignore list
I make use of the ignore feature, but only on a few posters. And the 'ignore' status only remains temporary, I usually unblock them.
If someone really pisses me off, I add them to my ignore. Once I've cooled down and the topic has been changed, I'll take them off my ignore list. I don't think it's a good idea to hold a grudge, ESPECIALLY on an internet forum, which is far more impersonal than real life.
Nay, nay. Ye gads, I remember the name "Happeh", but ...?
Let's not start the 20 questions thing. I'm trying to think of who all might remember. So far ... Cris, Xev ... okay, it was sometime in 2001 or 2002 that I last used my ignore list. (I actually had to look it up.) Folks who registered in the second half of 2002 wouldn't have encountered our delusional ... uh ... friend. Damn ... who's left from that period? James R, kmguru ... uh, Glaucon and Stryder (at this point I'm looking over at the other thread).
Anyway, this has been a hell of a trip down memory lane. Oh, jeez! Bells! Okay, there's another. Um ....
Wow. Someone's been on my ignore list for five years? Creepy.
Oh, wow. I just looked at my ignore list and there's two people on it. I don't remember one of them, and he's been banned since. So, as to the second person ... who the hell was Ray?
you missed an opportunity of a lifetime, Ray spoke so good of you. All those times when you were in hardship, the desperate moments for help, and than finally everlasting hope. Ray was a good person...but no more is he with us.
I am sorry you never knew Ray....
...I know how it must feel, but we must go over our emotions and strive for the better tomorrow.
I've never used the ignore system personally, however it's definitely something I suggest others use when they can't iron out their personal differences.
I've only got two guess for Tiassa's ignore list, one involved a guy with an uncontrollable urge to write in bigger/more colourful font than anyone else (Starts with the letter 'H'), the other was a religion poster that just had to argue in every post (Letter 'T' for this one).
If that isn't going to send some people on a mission to surf the username list then nothing will.
Isolation technique: based on assumption that these two individuals post count was higher than 250
Next stage in isolation technique...
Based on info given.
in process of isolation.
H is first, based on font style:
Tiassa is hardly going to put himself on his own ignore list now is he?
Although you have the T somewhere in the list, H is missing however.
yeah than isolation technique from 100 until 250 for H.
I don't have anyone on my ignore list. The people who I disagree with are entertaining to me, so ignoring them would just make sciforums very boring.
Allright than from 250 till 100
It's a lot of energy to be burning up on finding out who.
Note that banned members don't appear on the member list, so you'll need to check the Ban List as well.
And even then, all you might do is discover Stryder's guesses at Tiassa's ignore list... is it worth it?
Answer: Of course it is! This is Sciforums, where any diversion is a good diversion! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
